This hand dryer is highly suitable for washrooms in seaside locations. These areas tend to see metals rust very easily due to the elements. The MarineDry Hand Dryer 2461IFS is made using highly robust Grade 316 stainless steel. This type of stainless steel resists corrosion to chlorides like no other and is therefore ideal for washrooms that may be likely to come into contact with sea water and de-icing salts.
Grade 316 stainless steel has the addition of molybdenum. This increases the metal’s resistance to acids as well as many industrial corrosive process chemicals and solvents. This means that this type of hand dryer would also be suitable in industrial environments where these type of chemicals are used in making such products as inks, textiles, photographic chemicals, paper, and rubber.
Rated at just 1kW this is one of the most energy efficient on the market. The manufacturers state a dry time of around 12 seconds, however, this has a similar motor to that of the C-Force which we have independently tested. It would therefore be more realistic to expect a dry time of around 16 - 20 seconds when in real use. Still a relatively fast dry time nonetheless when compared to conventional warm air hand dryers which would dry hands in around 40 seconds plus.
This unit has a number of vandal resistant properties which are further enhanced by a concealed locking mechanism. A very aesthetically pleasing unit that is easy to clean and maintain.
