The Optical Sensor detects slow-smouldering fires, the Heat Sensor monitors for sudden increases in temperature indicative of fast flaming fires, and the CO Sensor continuously monitors for harmful levels of carbon monoxide. With intelligent software coordination, the alarm is capable of distinguishing between different types of danger and will trigger the appropriate visual indicator: red for fire and yellow for carbon monoxide.
