Ruijie networking here, much of it sold under the Reyee name, covers unmanaged, cloud-managed and Layer-3 switches, business routers and home mesh Wi-Fi, indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 access points, outdoor wireless bridges, SFP transceivers and optical cables, PoE injectors, power modules and RG-OCE network management licences, with products aimed at homes, small offices, CCTV networks and campus sites.

Plan the network from the edge back: the access points and router first, then the switches that feed them, then the links between buildings.

Switches

Unmanaged switches such as the RG-ES108GD are plug and play, with self-adaptive ports in a metal case. Cloud-managed switches add remote control: the RG-ES205GC-P has 4 PoE/PoE+ ports and lifetime management through Ruijie Cloud, and the RG-NBS3100-8GT2SFP-P has 8 gigabit PoE ports with 2 SFP uplinks. For aggregation or a campus core, the RG-CS85-48SFP4XS-D has 48 × 1Gb SFP service ports, four 1G/10G SFP+ uplinks and Layer-3 routing including OSPF and BGP. The RG-NIS2100-8GT2SFP-HP is an industrial, fanless DIN-rail PoE switch with an IP40 rating.

Routers and Wi-Fi

The RG-EG305GH-P-E business router gives a maximum throughput of 1.5 Gbps, PoE and cloud remote management, and the RG-EG209GS adds a Gigabit SFP port. For homes, the RG-EW3200GX-PRO is a Wi-Fi 6 mesh router using Reyee Mesh, and the RG-M18 comes as a 2-pack. Access points include the RG-RAP2260(G) Wi-Fi 6 ceiling model, the RG-RAP1260 wall-plate model and outdoor units such as the IP68 RG-RAP6260(G).

Bridges and fibre

Outdoor bridges link buildings or remote cameras without a cable: the RG-EST350G is a pre-paired 5 GHz kit for links up to ~5 km line-of-sight, and the RG-AirMetro460G has a 23 dBi antenna for PTP up to 15 km LOS. SFP modules carry fibre links, such as the MINI-GBIC-LX-SM1310 at 1310 nm over single-mode fibre and the XG-SFP-LR-SM1310 at 10Gb/s.

Which SFP module do I need for a fibre link?

Match the module to the fibre type, speed and distance. The MINI-GBIC-SX-MM850 works over multimode fibre at 850 nm for 550 metres, the MINI-GBIC-LX-SM1310 over single-mode fibre for 10 km, and the MINI-GBIC-ZX80-SM1550 over single-mode for 80 km. BiDi modules such as the GE-SFP-LX20-SM1310-BIDI use one fibre strand and pair with a 1550 nm transmitter at the far end.

Which Ruijie router covers a whole home with Wi-Fi?

A mesh router, which links units so a device roams between them. The RG-EW3200GX-PRO is a Wi-Fi 6 dual-band mesh router using Reyee Mesh, with five Gigabit ports and concurrent access for 64 terminals, and the RG-M18 2-pack is a Wi-Fi 6 mesh set for villas and large apartments. The RG-EW1200R is a wall-plug mesh extender for weak spots.

Are there Ruijie access points for outdoor use?

Yes, several are weatherproof. The RG-RAP6260(G) is an AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 outdoor access point rated IP68 and operating from -40 to 65°C, and the RG-RAP52-OD is an AC1300 Wi-Fi 5 outdoor model in an IP65 enclosure with PoE power and removable antennas.
