Texecom Sounders

Choose between wired and wireless first, then between the full Premier Elite units and the Economy E versions, then pick the cover.

Premier Elite or Economy

Compare output and sealing first. The Odyssey 3 Metal FCC-1153 has a 1.5mm galvanised steel enclosure, 115dB output and IP65 sealing, and meets PD6662:2010 Grade 3 Class IV. The Odyssey 5 backplate FCE-0042 also gives 115dB at 1m with IP65 sealed electronics. The Economy E versions such as the Odyssey 2E FCB-0066, 3E FCC-1112 and 5E FCE-0043 give 109dB at 1m with IP44 protection, and the Odyssey 4E FCD-0261 is certified to PD6662:2017 Grade 2 Class IV.

Wireless sounders

The wireless Odyssey backplates, including the 1-W GBP-0001, 2-W GBQ-0001, 3-W GBR-0001 and 4-W GBS-0001, use a 105dB(A) piezo sounder with a high brightness LED strobe. The GBP-0001 is powered by 8 x AA lithium batteries (included) with a battery life of 2 to 5 years, and the Odyssey X-W GBV-0001 uses Ricochet mesh technology at Grade 2, Class IV.

Odyssey X, covers and dummies

Odyssey X splits the sounder into a backplate and a cover. The WDD-0001 backplate has a 109 dB (A) piezo sounder, and covers such as the X1 WDA-0003 and the X3 WDB-0012 take custom graphic inserts for an installer's branding. The WDL-0001 dummy backplate mimics Odyssey X wired and wireless sounders, runs its comfort LEDs on 2 x AA batteries and accepts X1 and X3 covers.

Internal sounder

The DAB-0001 sits inside the building and gives 125 dB(A) of multi-tone sound, with a built-in 1.8 Ah backup battery for 30 minutes of operation during power loss.
