Apollo Heat Detectors

An Apollo heat detector is specified where smoke detection would false-alarm daily — a kitchen, a boiler room, a workshop — and where the system it reports to is a panel rather than a domestic interlink.

Two families are stocked. XP95 addressable heads report their own identity to the panel, so a fault or an alarm names its device rather than its zone. AlarmSense two-wire heads suit smaller conventional systems. Both come in fixed-temperature A2S at 55 degrees and rate-of-rise A1R versions, manufactured to EN54-5 — the rate-of-rise head reacts to how fast the temperature climbs, which is what catches a fast fire in a room that is normally warm.
