Security Turnstiles

Security turnstiles control pedestrian access through a lane, opening when a person authenticates with a card, code or other credential. This page holds a tripod turnstile, swing barriers and a full height turnstile, with fixed bases, side fences, glass sets and turnstile doors, plus barrier gates, from makers including Hikvision, Dahua Technology and Cards-X.

Choosing Security Turnstiles

Choose the barrier type first, then the lane width, the credentials it must read and whether it stands indoors or outdoors.

Tripod turnstile

The Hikvision DS-K3G411CX-R/M-Dm55(O-STD)/868 has a bidirectional lane 550 mm wide and handles 30 to 60 persons per minute, depending on the passing rate and passing method. Its access controller is supplied, with a card capacity of 500,000, and the pedestal is SUS304 stainless steel with an MCBF of at least 3 million times. Its application environment is indoor. The DSK7F01KITP1200 is a 1200 x 115 x 980mm side fence for the Tripod Turnstile K3G501, in SUS304 and acrylic glass.

Swing barriers

The Hikvision DS-K3B530X-L/D, DS-K3B530X-M/D, DS-K3B530X-R/D and DS-K3B530X-R/MPg are DS-K3B530X series swing barriers. A person authenticates to pass through the lane by presenting an IC or ID card or scanning a QR code, and an LED light indicates the passing direction. A speaker and a remote control keyfob are optional extras. The DS-K3B530X-Dp110/2 is an acrylic glass set for a 1100mm width on DS-K3B530X series furniture.

Dahua access control barriers

The Dahua DHI-ASGB810X-L, DHI-ASGB810X-R, DHI-ASGB820X-D and DHI-ASGB821X-D integrate an access control module, a turnstile control module and an alarm module, read IC cards and use RS-485 and RS-232 wiring. The DHI-ASGB821X-D has motors and barriers on both sides, 2 readers and 1 access control terminal with facial recognition.

Fixed bases

The DS-K3B530X-BASE650-S suits a single lane with 2 pedestals, and the DS-K3B530X-BASE650-M extends to more lanes. The DS-K3B801-BASE1100-M, DS-K3B801-BASE1100-S, DS-K3B801-BASE750-S and DS-K3B801-BASE900-M combine SUS304, a patterned aluminium plate and a galvanization panel, with cable holes for wiring. On the DS-K3B601-BASE1100-SMAKE the base size varies according to the lane width, and the DS-K3G411-BASE550-F measures 1475x850x34mm.

The Hikvision DS-K3G411CX-R/M-Dm55(O-STD)/868 tripod turnstile authenticates an EM card or an M1 card, the card type following the model name, and the DS-K3B530X-L/D swing barrier accepts an IC or ID card or a QR code.

An outdoor turnstile is one rated for outdoor application environments, while indoor-rated models are for use inside. A turnstile's fire alarm input lets the fire alarm open the lane, so people can evacuate freely when the alarm is triggered. On the Hikvision DS-K3G411CX-R/M-Dm55(O-STD)/868 tripod turnstile, which has 1 fire alarm input, the barrier drops automatically for emergency evacuation, and, separately, the DS-K3H4420-120/Pg-Dm60 full height turnstile unlocks its brake levers into free-passing mode when the power is cut off.
