Fused Spurs

A fused spur, or fused connection unit, gives a fixed appliance such as a boiler, extractor fan or outside light its own fused supply taken from a circuit, so the fuse protects that appliance's cable. This range is Knightsbridge 13A fused spur units, switched and unswitched, with neon indicators, flex outlets, double-pole switching, IP66 outdoor versions and grid fused modules, in finishes including white, brushed chrome and matt black.

Choosing Fused Spurs

Choose a fused spur by whether it needs a switch, how the appliance cable leaves it, where it is fitted and the finish of the accessories beside it.

Switched or unswitched

A switched fused spur lets the appliance be isolated at the unit, and double-pole versions such as the CL63BC break both live and neutral. An unswitched spur, such as the M6000F, gives a fused supply with no switch, for appliances that should not be turned off by accident.

Neon indicator and flex outlet

A neon indicator shows when the supply is on. A flex outlet lets the appliance cable leave through the front plate, as on the CL63FBC, rather than through the back box to a separate outlet plate.

Wet and outdoor positions

The OP63N and OP6N are IP66 weatherproof fused spurs in black polycarbonate, for walls outside the building or in wash-down areas.
