Gate Remote Controls
Gate remote controls are hand-held radio transmitters for triggering automatic gates, doors, barriers and lights, shown here with the receivers and kits they work with. The range is mainly from CDVI, with LiftMaster, BPT and CAME, plus Comelit PAC, Hikvision, STP and Urmet. It covers multi-channel and mini keyring transmitters, DIN rail, outdoor and touchless transmitters, miniature and nano receivers, and receiver kits.

Choosing Gate Remote Controls
Count the gates and doors one remote has to work, then check the frequency and the code it transmits.
Channels
The CDVI TX26-E1 is a 1-channel hand-held transmitter, the TX26-E2 has two channels and the TX26-E4 four. On the TX26-E2, one button could trigger an automatic car gate and another could trigger an automatic garage door. The CAME 806TS-0270 is a 4-channel gate remote transmitter, and the big buttons of the LiftMaster 041ATX4EVF make it possible to control up to four doors.
Frequency and code
The CDVI TX26-E2 and TX26-E4 are compatible with CDVI 433.92MHz receivers, and their transmissions are protected by KeeLoq hopping code to prevent interception. The CAME 806TS-0270 is one device for two frequencies, 433.92 MHz and 868.35 MHz, and needs no setting when the frequency is selected. On the LiftMaster 041ATX4EVF, a blue LED light indicates the use of the 868 MHz frequency. The CDVI TX128-E4 adds AES128-bit encryption to data encoded by KeeLoq rolling code.
Keyring transmitters
The CDVI TX26-T1 and TX26-T2 are mini transmitters with one and two channels, handy for attaching to keyrings, and the 4-channel TX26-T4 includes a loop for attachment to keyrings.
Other transmitters
The CDVI TX26-DIN is a DIN rail mount transmitter with 4 transmission channels, activated by contacts changing from open to closed. The TX26-EXTB is a weather resistant outdoor transmitter with an IP55 rating that operates on a 230Vac mains power supply. The TX26-TTHS-W is a 1-channel radio touchless transmitter with an activation range of up to 4cm.
Receivers and kits
The CDVI RX26-Z2 has an IP65 rated housing, pulse or step mode for its 2 relays and memory for up to 85 transmitter channels. The CDVI SELW-R433 has a 26-bit Wiegand output for connection to online access control systems. The CDVI OPR-KIT includes a universal transmitter and an RX26-NANO receiver, and converts any switch to a radio device.

Frequently asked questions
Which receiver does a gate remote work with?
A gate remote works with a receiver made for the same system and radio frequency, so check its compatibility before buying. The CDVI TX26-E2 is compatible with CDVI 433.92MHz receivers, and the CDVI SELW-R433 receiver is compatible with TX26 Series transmitters. In the CDVI CUBE KIT, the CUBEPOWER (RXCUBE) receiver is compatible with the full range of ERONE or RADIUM remotes.
Can a gate fob go on a keyring?
Yes, mini gate fobs are made to attach to a keyring, with a loop or a key ring holder on the transmitter. The CDVI TX26-AM1 is a mini transmitter for attaching to keyrings, and the 4-channel TX26-T4 includes a loop for attachment to keyrings. The Urmet 1104/5 remote control has a robust metal key ring holder, 4 buttons and an integrated proximity function.
Can one electric gate remote open more than one gate or door?
Yes, a multi-channel electric gate remote can trigger different gates or doors from its separate channels. On the 2-channel CDVI TX26-E2, one button could trigger an automatic car gate and another an automatic garage door, and the TX26-E4 has four channels. The CAME 806TS-0270 is a 4-channel transmitter that manages up to four gates or barriers.
What kinds of gate transmitter are there besides a hand-held remote?
Besides hand-held remotes, gate transmitters come as DIN rail models triggered by wired contacts, mains-powered outdoor units and touchless models. The CDVI TX26-DIN is a DIN rail mount transmitter with 4 channels, activated by contacts changing from open to closed. The TX26-EXTB is a weather resistant outdoor transmitter that operates on a 230Vac mains power supply, and the TX26-TTHS-W is a radio touchless transmitter.
What does a rolling code do on a gate remote?
A rolling code, also called a hopping code, protects the signal a gate remote transmits against interception. The CDVI TX26-E2 uses KeeLoq hopping code and the TX26-T4 KeeLoq rolling code. The CDVI TX128-E4 adds AES128-bit encryption to data encoded by KeeLoq rolling code, for extra security.
