GU10 Bulbs

A GU10 is a spotlight lamp that runs on mains voltage and fits with two stubby pins that push in and lock with a quarter twist, so it needs no transformer. The Knightsbridge G5DCW, G5DWW and GU5PDCW are LED lamps described as replacements for traditional halogen lamps, and the GU7PDWW is described as equivalent to a 65W halogen lamp.

A dimmer the lamp lists as compatible. The G5DCW, G5DWW, GU5PDCW, GU5PDDL and GU5PDWW state most trailing and leading edge dimmers, and the GU7PDCW and GU7PDWW state trailing edge dimmers. Knightsbridge asks for compatibility to be checked before installation, because compatibility varies between dimmer models.

The GU5PDDL daylight lamp states a lifespan of 25,000 hours, the one lamp on this page that gives a figure. At three hours a day, that is more than twenty years of use. For the other lamps, compare output, colour temperature and dimmer compatibility instead.
