Dimmer Switches

A dimmer switch that predates LED lamps will usually flicker or buzz on them, which is why almost every dimmer sold now states the load type it is built for rather than only a wattage.

The range is Knightsbridge throughout. Trailing-edge dimmers suit LED and low-voltage loads and are the default for a modern lamp; leading-edge models remain right for older resistive and inductive loads. Rotary, push and touch styles are stocked, in one-way and two-way, for flicker-free dimming of dimmable lamps. Ratings start around 10-150W for LED-compatible units, in 1-gang and 2-gang plates, with pull-cord versions for bathrooms where a wall switch is not permitted. Finishes run from moulded white through brushed and polished chrome to matt black. Load type, wattage range, gang count and finish are stated on every product page.
