Battery Packs & Modules

The battery packs and modules on this page include replacement and standby batteries for alarm, fire and smoke detection equipment. Most are made for one named system: JCI Visonic packs for PowerMax panels, the Eaton COMPACT-BAT01 for the Scantronic i-on Compact, Pyronix cells for the Wireless Arming Station, Bull packs for Cygnus wireless fire devices and the Xtralis OSE-RBA for an OSID emitter.

Choosing Battery Packs & Modules

Start from the equipment the battery powers: read the part number on the old pack or in the panel manual and match it, because these packs are built around particular panels and devices.

Intruder alarm panels

JCI Visonic's 0-9912-L (9.6V, NiMH/NiCd) and 0-9913-W (7.2V, rechargeable) are made for PowerMax panels. JCI Visonic's 99-301712 is the replacement pack for the PowerMax Express, PowerMaster10 and MCX-610. Eaton's COMPACT-BAT01 is a 7.2V NiMH pack for the Scantronic i-on Compact panel.

Other batteries

Pyronix makes the BATT-ES1, a 3V battery, and the BATT-RKP1, a 3V NiMH rechargeable that powers the Pyronix Wireless Arming Station. The Texecom BAT001 is a 7.2V Odyssey Series replacement battery. The JCI Visonic 0-9912-G is a 9.6V eight-cell pack from the PowerCode range. The Eaton SDR-R-BAT1 is a 3V 17Ah alkaline manganese pack with a typical life of 24 months.

Fire and smoke detection

The Bull BATP01 is a pack of six batteries for Cygnus wireless call points and first aid alert points (CYG2, CYG5, CYG2F), and the BATP03 a pack of three for Cygnus CYG3L heat and CYG4L smoke detectors. The Xtralis OSE-RBA is the spare alkaline battery for the emitter of an OSID smoke detection system.

Which batteries do Cygnus wireless fire devices use?

Two Bull packs here fit them. The BATP01 is a pack of six batteries for the Cygnus CYG2 fire call point, the CYG5 first aid alert point and the CYG2F combined unit, and the BATP03 is a pack of three for the CYG3L heat detector and the CYG4L smoke detector. Check the device code on its label before choosing between them.

What is the Xtralis OSE-RBA battery for?

The OSE-RBA is the spare alkaline battery for the emitter of an Xtralis OSID smoke detection system. As an alkaline battery it has a longer shelf life, and it saves power when not in use, so a spare can be kept on hand without losing much charge in storage.
