Wisenet Licences

Hanwha Vision licenses its Wisenet software by channel, by module and by server, so a system grows through licences rather than replacement.

WAVE licences cover the video platform itself, counted in IP camera channels, with a four-stream encoder licence alongside them. SSM handles central management, and its licences are counted in recording channels on a core server. Analytics are licensed separately and are not one family: the AI packs are dedicated retail and traffic applications, ANPR is its own SSM module, and loitering and intrusion detection runs on AI Tech edge analytics with a defined camera list. AID licences come both as channel licences and as a reporting interface for the event data, and a separate server part opens SSM to third-party intrusion and access systems. Hanwha Vision part numbers distinguish the platform as well as the capacity, which is what makes them worth reading closely before an order.

Licences are bought against the cameras and recorders they run on — see CCTV Cameras and Network Video Recorders (NVRs). Hikvision and Ruijie are licensed on Software & Licences.
