Choosing Coaxial & F-Type Connectors
Match the connector to the cable type and diameter first, then to how you want to terminate it.
F-type plugs
The 770.152UK and 770.150UK are twist-on F-type plugs. The 770.152UK is designed for RG6 and 100 type cables of 6.5mm to 7mm diameter and is made from zinc alloy, for cable television and satellite set-ups. The 770.150UK is for RG58 cable of 5mm diameter and is compatible with the 808.107UK, 808.109UK and 808.163UK dual satellite cables.
BNC connectors
The 777.015UK BNC plug and 777.016UK BNC socket have twin modular terminals for simple, solder-free connections in CCTV installations. The 767.705UK quick fit BNC plug is nickel plated with a gold plated contact, uses screw termination with a braid clamp and takes 6.5mm OD cables. The Belden 1694ABHD1 and 1694ABHD3 are BNC connectors for RG-6 cable, supporting up to 6GHz with gold-plated contacts. The 1694ABHD1 is a green single-piece connector, and the 1694ABHD3 is a 3-piece crimp connector.
Precision plugs, sockets and adaptors
The 765.539UK precision coaxial plug and 766.086UK precision coaxial socket are made from nickel plated brass. The Comelit PAC 43960 is a coaxial cable connector. The Axis 02470-021 right-angle SMA adaptor gives a 90° angle between an Axis sensor unit and its cable, so the cable does not need bending in tight spaces; it is outdoor-rated and sold in packs of 10.

Frequently asked questions
Which F-type plug fits RG6 cable?
Use an F-type plug made for RG6, because F plugs are sized to a cable's diameter. The AV:Link 770.152UK is a twist-on F-type plug for RG6 and 100 type cables of 6.5mm to 7mm diameter, made from zinc alloy. For thinner RG58 cable of 5mm diameter, the 770.150UK twist-on F plug is used instead.
How do I connect coaxial cable connectors?
Fit the connector by its own termination method: twist-on, screw terminals or crimping. The 770.152UK F-type plug twists on to RG6 and 100 type cables, and the 777.015UK BNC plug has twin modular terminals that make a solder-free connection. The 767.705UK quick fit BNC plug uses screw termination with a braid clamp on 6.5mm OD cables, while the Belden 1694ABHD3 is a 3-piece crimp connector for RG-6 video cables.
Which BNC connectors suit RG-6 video cable?
BNC connectors designed for RG-6 suit RG-6 video cable, in single-piece or 3-piece crimp versions. The Belden 1694ABHD1 is a green, single-piece BNC connector for RG-6 cables that supports video data transmission up to 6GHz, with gold-plated contacts. The Belden 1694ABHD3 is a BNC crimp connector designed for RG-6 video cables.
Which BNC connectors make a solder-free connection?
BNC connectors with screw-in or modular terminals make a solder-free connection to the cable. The Mercury 777.015UK BNC plug and 777.016UK BNC socket have twin modular terminals for simple, solder-free connections in CCTV installations. The AV:Link 767.705UK quick fit BNC plug uses screw termination with a braid clamp and takes 6.5mm OD cables.
What is a right angle SMA adaptor for?
A right angle SMA adaptor turns the cable connection through 90°, so the cable does not need to be bent in tight spaces. The Axis Communications 02470-021 gives a 90° angle between an Axis sensor unit and its cable. It is outdoor-rated, comes from the F Series range and is sold in packs of 10.
