Digital Video Recorders (DVRs)

A digital video recorder is the head end of an analogue or hybrid CCTV system, taking coax from the cameras and writing to its own drives. Our CCTV DVRs come from Hikvision, HiLook and ESP.

Channel counts run from 4 to 32. Hybrid models accept HD-TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS on the same inputs and add IP channels on top, so an analogue system can be extended with network cameras rather than replaced. AcuSense models classify people and vehicles at the recorder, cutting false alerts on cameras that cannot do it themselves. H.265 Pro+ compression roughly halves the storage a given retention period needs, and drive capacity runs from a single SATA bay to four, with 4K HDMI output on the larger units.
