Access Control Accessories

A button on the secure side of a door that tells the access controller to release the lock, so people can leave without a credential. There are push buttons such as the ESP EVEXITM mushroom button, touch-free sensors such as the RGL EBNT-TF-1 and ESP EVEXITC, and large DDA push plates such as the RGL EBLPP04 for people who find a small button hard to press.

An exit button asks the controller to open the door, while an emergency door release breaks the lock circuit itself, so the door can open even if the controller does not respond. The Aperta EVEBGEXT2 is an IP67 green break glass call point, and the RGL DU-SS/PTE and DU-GB/PTE combine a press-to-exit button with a resettable emergency door release in one unit.

On an inward-opening door the maglock and armature cannot meet face to face on the frame, so a Z and L bracket set brings them together. Match the bracket to the lock: the RGL AB600ZL-DC and BK600ZL suit single ML600 maglocks, the BK600-D-ZL the double ML600-D, the CDVI 500-ZL 500 kg maglocks, and the Aperta A1ML250ZL is a spare for the A1ML250.

A strike lock that stays locked when power is lost and releases when power is applied, so the door stays secure through a power cut. The Aperta A1SL flush strike lock, for Yale-type rim locks, and the A1SLS surface strike lock are both fail secure, and the A1SLS runs on 12V DC.
