Floodlights & Security Lights

Security lights are floodlights specified for deterrence rather than for illumination: they come on when something moves, which is both the warning and the reason the running cost stays low.

The range is led by the ESP NH series in 10W and 20W, in black and white bodies, offered in matched sensor and non-sensor versions — so an approach can be lit on movement while an adjacent area stays on a switch, using fittings that look identical. Knightsbridge and LYYT models sit alongside them. Integrated PIR units need no separate sensor or wiring, and the detection angle and time-on settings are adjustable on the head.

For the wider outdoor floodlight range including higher wattages see LED Floodlights. Security lighting is often specified beside camera coverage — see CCTV Cameras — and beside an alarm, in Smart Alarms & Sensors. Wattage, sensor type and IP rating are stated per product.
