Speaker Stands, Mounts & Covers

Stands, poles, brackets and covers that position and protect speakers. The range includes floor stands and 35mm speaker poles for PA cabinets, wall, pole and soundbar brackets, ceiling speaker brackets, tile bridges and pendant enclosures, flying hardware such as M8 eyebolts, and slip covers and padded bags for transport. Choosing Speaker Stands, Mounts & Covers

Choose by where the speaker will go: on a stand or pole, on a wall, in or under the ceiling, or into a cover for transport.

Stands and poles

The Citronic 180.184UK aluminium stand adjusts from 1.0m to 1.92m and carries up to 50kg on a 35mmØ pole that fits speaker cabinets with a top hat. The QTX 180.195UK has a large steel square base and supports 15kg. To mount a satellite cabinet above a bass bin, 35mm poles such as the QTX 180.215UK (0.8m, 30kg) or the telescopic 180.217UK (800 - 1340mm, 50kg) fit between the two. The QTX 180.199UK is a floor stand for studio monitors.

Wall and pole brackets

The AV:Link 129.200UK mounts small satellite, bookshelf and surround speakers on a wall or ceiling, and the AV:Link 129.202UK side-clamping mount holds bookshelf speakers up to 15kg. The B-Tech BT77 clamps loudspeakers up to 25kg. For PA cabinets, the QTX 129.095UK takes up to 25kg with an angle of 45° to 90°, and the TOA SP-131 stainless steel brackets fix horn speakers to a vertical pole.

Ceiling and install parts

The Vanco EZIC-2 bracket works with virtually all in-ceiling speakers and staples to the ceiling joists, and tile bridges such as the Vanco TB65 support speakers in suspended ceilings to prevent sagging. The Axis 02720-001 gasket can give its matching Axis ceiling speaker an IP54 rating. To fly PA cabinets, the Citronic 180.808UK M8 eyebolts fix to the flying points and the 180.809UK carabiners couple them to wire rope or chain.

Covers and bags

Citronic CASA slip covers such as the 127.310UK are water-resistant 600 Denier Oxford with access holes for the carrying handles, the QTX 127.080UK fits QR-series speakers, and the QTX 127.864UK suits Busker portable PA units. Padded transit bags such as the Citronic 127.070UK fit most 10", 12" and 15" speakers, which can be used while the bag is still fitted.

Check the load rating of the exact stand against the weight of your speaker. The Citronic 180.184UK aluminium stand has a maximum load of 50kg, the Adastra 180.555UK stand kit takes speakers up to 25kg and comes with a two-compartment bag, and the QTX 180.195UK and 180.196UK square base stands are recommended for a speaker or single lighting effect of up to 15kg.

What is a 35mm speaker pole used for?

A 35mm pole mounts a speaker cabinet on a bass box or subwoofer that has a top hat fitted. The QTX 180.218UK is a 1.2m black steel pole rated 30kg with rubber end caps, and the 180.217UK telescopic pole locks at heights between 800 - 1340mm with a pin. The QTX 853.243UK top cap also lets a 35mm stand support lights and effects machines.

Which bracket suits a PA speaker on a wall?

Pick a bracket rated for the cabinet weight and the angle you need. The QTX 129.093UK gives vertical adjustment in 3 positions, 45°, 67.5° and 90°, and the QTX 129.097UK pair mounts speakers that have a 35mm pole socket, with tilt from 65° to 90°. The Vanco PASBR dual-axis mount holds up to 15kg, rotates 360° and comes with a steel safety cable.

Do I need a bracket or tile bridge for a ceiling speaker?

Yes, where the ceiling cannot carry the speaker on its own. Where the joists can be reached, the Vanco EZIC-24 brackets (24 in a pack) attach to them with a staple gun. In a suspended ceiling, tile bridges such as the Vanco TB80 and the Axis 02555-001 spread the load so the tile does not sag.

Should I use a slip cover or a padded bag?

Use a slip cover to keep dust and damp off a cabinet and a padded bag for extra protection in transport. QTX 127.086UK and 127.087UK slip covers fit active and passive speakers and are water-resistant, while the Citronic 127.073UK padded bag fits most 10" to 15" speakers. The Citronic 180.014UK bag carries 2 compact speaker stands.

How do I hang a speaker from an open ceiling?

Use a pendant enclosure or a pendant speaker with a wire kit. The Vanco PESV-6B and PESV-8W pendant enclosures fit most Beale Street Audio speakers with Sonic Vortex, support 8 ohm and 70V systems and are IP65 rated. For Axis network pendant speakers, the Axis 02558-001 wire kit is 10m of stainless steel with a hook to adjust the height.
