CCTV Signs & Stickers

CCTV signs tell people that an area is under video surveillance. Haydon signs here come in A3, A4 and A5 sizes, including data-compliant signs with space for the CCTV operator name and contact details, video and audio versions and A5 window stickers. Dynamic adds A3, A4 and A5 warning signs for CCTV or general warning use. Choose the size by how far away the sign must be read, then whether it goes on a wall or on glass.

Choosing CCTV Signs & Stickers

Pick the size for the reading distance, then the wording, then how the sign fixes to a wall, a door or glass.

Data-compliant Haydon signs

The HAY-WSA3, HAY-WSA4 and HAY-WSA5 leave space for the CCTV operator name and contact details, to support data-protection notice requirements. The HAY-WSA3 is an A3 sign, 297 × 420 mm, with a black and yellow warning graphic on white, for retail, offices, communal areas and site perimeters where an A3 sign is preferred for visibility. The HAY-WSA4 is a rigid A4 panel, 210 × 297 mm, for entranceways, site perimeters, car parks and internal doorways.

Video and audio wording

Where cameras also record sound, the V2 signs carry video and audio wording. The HAY-WSA4-V2 is a plastic, weatherproof A4 sign for indoor or outdoor mounting that weighs about 0.042 kg and fixes with screws, adhesive or cable ties, and the HAY-WSA5-V2 is an A5 sign, 154 × 210 mm, that tells people video and audio recordings are occurring.

Window stickers

For glass, the Haydon A5 video and audio warning sticker is self-adhesive for windows and doors, 154 × 210 mm, with space to add the CCTV operator name and contact details, and the surface should be clean and dry before it goes on.

Dynamic warning signs

The Dynamic A3 sign, 297 × 420 mm, is a high visibility, large format sign for site safety, CCTV warnings or general warnings, with maximum readability at a distance. The A4SIGN is 210 x 297 mm for workplaces, public areas and sites, and the A5SIGN, 148 × 210 mm, is a warning or CCTV notice for areas under surveillance.

Frequently asked questions

What size CCTV sign do I need?

Choose A3 for reading at a distance, A4 for entrances and doorways, and A5 for doors, windows and indoor notices. The HAY-WSA3 is 297 × 420 mm and the HAY-WSA4 210 × 297 mm, and the HAY-WSA5-V2 is 154 × 210 mm. The Dynamic A3 sign is 297 × 420 mm for maximum readability at a distance, and the A5SIGN is 148 × 210 mm.

What is a CCTV sign for?

It lets people know that CCTV recording is in operation where they are. The HAY-WSA4 is made to notify people that CCTV recording is in operation, and its layout leaves space for the operator name and contact details to support data-protection and evidence-release requirements. The HAY-WSA5 can be used as a data-protection notification for premises under CCTV surveillance, and the Dynamic A5SIGN is a notice for display in areas under surveillance.

Which CCTV signs mention audio recording?

The Haydon V2 signs use video and audio wording. The HAY-WSA4-V2 is a weatherproof plastic A4 sign for indoor or outdoor mounting, and the HAY-WSA5-V2 is an A5 sign that tells people video and audio recordings are occurring. A Haydon A5 window sticker with video and audio wording is also made for windows and doors.

Can I put a CCTV sign on a window?

Yes, use a self-adhesive sticker version made for windows and doors rather than a rigid sign. The Haydon A5 video and audio window sticker measures 154 × 210 mm and has space to add the CCTV operator name and contact details, and the Haydon A5SIGN(WINDOW) is a high-visibility A5 window sticker.

Which CCTV sign can go outside?

A sign made of weatherproof material for outdoor mounting can go outside, fixed at eye level near the cameras. The Haydon HAY-WSA4-V2 is a plastic, weatherproof A4 sign for indoor or outdoor mounting that fixes with screws, adhesive or cable ties, and the HAY-WSA3 suits internal and typical external use where PVC signage is acceptable.
