Haydon A5 CCTV Warning Sticker, Video & Audio Variant

Sized to A5 (154 × 210 mm), the sticker provides dedicated space to record the CCTV operator name and contact details to support transparency and help meet UK/EU data-protection expectations such as GDPR. Branded by Haydon, a recognised supplier in the signage and CCTV accessories space, this product is positioned for retail stores, offices, communal entrances and vehicle windows where a clear but unobtrusive surveillance notice is required.

Key features at a glance

• Compact A5 format (154 × 210 mm) — visible yet space-efficient for windows and doors.
• Self-adhesive window sticker — designed for direct application to glass surfaces.
• Video & Audio variant (V2) — explicitly notifies subjects that audio recording may be taking place alongside video.
• Data-compliant layout — space to add the CCTV operator name and contact details for transparency and legal compliance.

Detailed specifications and benefits

The Haydon A5 CCTV warning sticker is engineered as a straightforward, no-fuss solution for notifying the public of surveillance activity. Below are the product specifications and why each matters:

• Supplier title:HAY-WSA5-V2 STICKER - A5 VIDEO & AUDIO
• Brand:Haydon
• Size:A5 (154 × 210 mm)
• Format:Self-adhesive window sticker
• Variant:Video & Audio (V2)
• 2.93 / 4.25

• Data-protection ready:The sticker includes space for operator name and contact details. This is an important element of transparency under data-protection laws such as the UK Data Protection Act and GDPR, which expect data subjects to be informed about who is collecting their data and how to contact them.
• Compact but visible:A5 is large enough to be noticed on a window or door without crowding the glass. It works well where a modest-sized notice is preferred over a larger A4 or billboard-style sign.
• Clear messaging:The “Video & Audio” variant removes ambiguity for visitors: it explicitly indicates that audio capture may be occurring as well as video recording — a significant legal and ethical disclosure.

Use cases and scenarios where this sticker excels

The Haydon A5 CCTV window sticker suits a range of environments where surveillance is present but a subtle sign is preferred. Typical scenarios include:

• Retail premises:Small shops, boutiques and convenience stores often need to warn of CCTV near entrances, checkouts and stockrooms. The A5 size is ideal for fitting on glass doors or inside windows without obstructing displays.
• Offices and receptions:Reception desks and office entryways can use the sticker to notify staff and visitors of monitoring in communal spaces or entrances.
• Residential or communal buildings:Apartment blocks and communal entrances where door-entry cameras or intercom systems include audio capture can use the sticker to provide compliant notification.
• Vehicles and mobile units:For security vans, taxis or other vehicles that use onboard cameras, an A5 sticker on a window is an easy way to notify passengers and bystanders.
• Temporary or portable installations:When a temporary surveillance setup is needed for events, pop-up shops or short-term site monitoring, the stick-on format offers a quick, low-cost solution.

Installation considerations and best practices

• Apply to a clean, dry glass surface for best adhesion. Remove dust, grease or condensation before sticking.
• Position at eye level where it’s easily seen by people approaching the entrance or area under surveillance.
• Ensure the operator contact details you add are kept current — outdated details can undermine transparency and compliance.

Comparisons with similar products in the market

When evaluating CCTV warning signage, buyers typically weigh size, compliance features, durability and cost. Here’s how the Haydon A5 sticker compares to common alternatives:

• A4 signs are larger and more conspicuous — suitable for high-traffic or larger premises where visibility from a distance matters. The A5 Haydon sticker is preferable where space is limited or a more discreet notice is desired.
• A4 printed signs often come on rigid or laminated substrates with explicit outdoor ratings; the Haydon sticker’s material and weatherproof performance are unspecified, so confirm suitability for external use.

• Rigid plates and acrylic signs look more permanent and premium; they can be reused and withstand harsh weather when mounted securely. The sticker is lower-cost and easier to deploy but may not offer the same longevity outdoors unless you select a laminated/vinyl variant.

• Branded products from recognised suppliers like Haydon can provide greater assurance of compliance-focused design (e.g., dedicated spaces for operator details) and may offer better print quality and clarity. Generic stickers may be cheaper but could lack compliance-friendly layout or robust materials.

Limitations and what to verify before purchase

• Material and durability:The basic datasheet does not specify substrate, laminate or UV/weather ratings.
• While the sticker provides an important piece of the compliance puzzle (notification), ensure your CCTV system, signage placement, retention policies and data-subject processes meet the full requirements of applicable data-protection laws.
