Choosing Stage Wash & Spotlights

Decide first whether the show needs white light for washes and audience blinding or colour and movement for effects, then match the DMX channel count to your controller.

White blinders

The QTX HPWash-100 uses two 50W COB LEDs for 100W of white light with a 40° beam, and the HPWash-200 doubles that to four 50W COBs and 200W. Both give linear dimming via DMX or internal programmes, for a smooth or immediate change from blackout to full brightness, and both are housed in metal casings with fan cooling. The HPWash-100 takes 6 DMX channels and the HPWash-200 takes 8.

Warm and cool white PAR

The Citronic SilentPAR-200W is a PAR can with 4 x 50W COB LEDs giving cool and warm white light. Its fan is whisper-quiet for virtually silent operation, which helps where fan noise would be heard in quiet moments. It runs on 4, 6 or 9 channel DMX-512 or on its own auto, sound-activated and static programmes, and has a heavy-duty metal chassis and stand bracket.

Colour, strobe and movement

The Citronic SpectraBar 154.057UK is an 800W bar of 1080 RGB SMD5050 LEDs with a 135° beam, producing moving effects, strobes and colour washes. It offers automatic and sound-to-light programmes, or 5, 9, 36, 49 or 144 channel DMX modes for more precise control, and its fixing plates join further bars end to end.
