QTX LED Lights

QTX LED lights are party and stage lighting from the QTX range: PAR cans, white LED stage blinders, a weatherproof PAR can, LED wall bars and a floor stand for them, moving heads, multi-effect units with lasers, an ultraviolet bar, a spotlight and a mini strobe. The page also carries QTX effects machines lit by LEDs, such as fog, bubble and snow machines, and an LED mirror ball motor.

Choosing QTX LED Lights

Decide what the light has to do and where it will run, then check how it is controlled: built-in programs, a remote or DMX.

Washes, blinders and outdoor PARs

For a soft colour wash behind a band or DJ, the PAR-54 154.035UK is an extra flat can with 9x 6W RGBW LEDs. To light the stage or audience in white, the HPWash-100 154.050UK blinder has 2x 50W COB LEDs with full linear dimming on 6-Channel DMX, and the HPWash-200 154.051UK doubles that to 4x 50W on 8-Channel DMX. The HIPAR-100 154.323UK sits in an IP65 weatherproof housing with waterproof 1.3m IEC power and DMX leads.

Bars and multi-effects

The C-BAR 151.592UK splits 24 RGB LEDs into 8 independent segments for pattern chases, and the Wash and Beam 151.598UK alternates 12 RGB wash LEDs with 12 amber beam LEDs. The 151.595UK floor stand lets an LED wall bar stand upright. The Pentaflash 151.743UK combines an effect ball, strobe/UV LEDs, PARs and a dual colour laser, controlled over 18-channel DMX or its IR remote.

Fog, bubble and snow machines

The FLARE-1000 160.486UK sends a vertical column of fog ringed by six RGB LEDs, and the Harrier-1500 160.487UK fires vertical or horizontal jets lit by 24 LEDs, with a removable 2.5 litre fluid tank. The 160.556UK combines a fogger and a bubble machine with 8W RGB+UV LEDs, and the SW-3LED 160.566UK turns snow fluid into falling foam for events and theatre.

Spots, strobes and small effects

The 151.675UK is a 10W RGBW spotlight with a remote, for performances or for lighting a mirror ball, and the 153.107UK mirror ball motor adds a pin spot from 18 focused LEDs. The 152.936UK mini strobe runs on batteries, not supplied, with a rotary rate control.

Frequently asked questions

Can a QTX LED light be used outdoors?

Yes, the HIPAR-100 154.323UK is built for it. Its 100W RGBWA PAR can sits in an IP65 weatherproof housing for outdoor or indoor applications, comes pre-wired with waterproof power and DMX signal leads for daisy-chaining, and has a split bracket that also works as a floor stand. It runs from internal auto programs or DMX512.

Which fog machine suits a larger venue?

Pick a 1500W model for bigger rooms. The 160.495UK produces around 20,000 cu.ft/min of fog to rapidly fill larger venues, and the Harrier-1500 160.487UK gives around 32,000 Cu.Ft/min as a vertical or horizontal jet. The Harrier also has a low fluid protection switch, so the unit is not damaged if left running with an empty tank.

What does a stage blinder do?

It floods the stage or audience with bright white light. The HPWash-100 154.050UK is a 100W white LED blinder for a fully controllable light wash, with linear dimming by DMX or internal programs for a smooth or immediate change from blackout to full brightness. It is housed in an all-metal casing with fan cooling.

How should I light a mirror ball?

Aim a narrow spotlight at it, or use a motor with its own LEDs. The QTX 151.675UK is a 10W RGBW LED spotlight for use with a mirror ball, with a remote for solid colours or colour changes. The 153.107UK battery operated motor turns balls up to 3kg and creates a pin spot type effect from the top of the ball.

Are there bubble or snow effects in the QTX range?

Yes, there are bubble and snow machines here. The Double Bubble LED 160.552UK makes bubbles from 2 mini bubble wheels lit by 3 RGB LEDs, with a wireless remote and a 1 litre removable tank. The SW-3LED 160.566UK snow machine covers approximately 8m³ per minute and comes with wired and RF remotes, and the 160.556UK mixes bubbles with fog.
