Call point covers and detector guards protect fire and security devices from accidental or malicious operation, vandalism and damage. Call point and break glass covers

The STI-15010NB Euro Stopper is a clear, tamper proof, tough UV-stabilised polycarbonate cover and frame that retrofits over the break glass call point; its Glow Guide illuminates in the dark, making the call point easier to locate. The STI-6930 Call Point Stopper is a hinged polycarbonate cover with a spring loaded hinge that returns the cover to its original position once released. The Fike 25-0083-303 is a cover flap that fits directly on to a Twinflex call point to reduce the risk of accidental operation.

Warning sounders

When the cover of the STI-1155 is lifted, a self-contained 95/105 dB warning horn sounds and immediate attention is drawn to the area. The STI-1150 Stopper II is a flush mount polycarbonate cover with a 95 or 105 dB warning horn, designed for outdoor use.

Outdoor and wash down areas

On the STI-13000NC Universal Stopper, mounting options 0 and 1 are designed to meet the requirements of IP54, options 6 and 7 IP56, and option 6 with the Sealed Mounting Plate provides IP66 protection. The STI-13120CR Enviro Stopper protects manual call points and switches against dust and water ingress in harsh environments such as wash down areas.

Detector, sounder and camera guards

The STI-8100 Polycarbonate Detector Stopper protects smoke detectors where abuse is severe, and the smoke detector's LED remains clearly visible. The STI-8200-SS is a heavy-duty 1.2mm stainless steel cover whose perforations give smoke access to the detector. Steel rod cages here include the STI-9620 for PIR units, the STI-9615 for beacons and sounders, the STI-9845 for the sensor units of beam type smoke detectors, and the STI-9626 for CCTV cameras and external lighting.

Control panels

The STI-7510D cover can protect fire and security control panels and has an exterior key lock. The Kentec K18002 Tamper Resistant Vision Window has a fully welded steel construction.

What does a PIR cage protect against?

It protects a PIR or motion detector from vandalism, misuse and accidental damage with a guard of heavy-duty coated steel. The STI 9619 and STI-9618 Damage Stopper cages are corner mounted and built from plastic coated, heavy duty galvanised steel rod. The STI-9620 is a cage for PIR units, 156 mm high, 102 mm wide and 57 mm deep.

What is an exit sign cage for?

It is a steel guard that helps protect an exit sign from vandalism and accidental damage. The STI-9743 is built from 9-gauge steel wire coated with white corrosion resistant polyester and is compatible with the ABOX 600 UM and S-LINE 600 UM exit signs. It measures 700 mm wide by 470 mm high, and mounting clamps and hardware are included.

How can a smoke detector be protected from vandalism?

With a cover or cage made for it. The STI-8130 surface mount cover protects smoke detectors within vulnerable establishments where severe vandalism is causing false fire alarms, and the detector's LED remains clearly visible. The STI-8230-SS stainless steel Detector Stopper uses a matrix of perforations that gives smoke access to the detector. The STI-9609 cage has a web-like octagon shape of heavy-duty coated steel wire that makes it extremely difficult to break.
