Enclosures for connections and cable entries

The JB007BK, JB008BK and JB009BK use impact-resistant polycarbonate, and the JB007BK is built to host connections, junctions and cable entries safely. The three share the same IP66 and IK06 ratings and differ in size.

Gel boxes for cable junctions

The JB0014 is a 3-way junction box in PA66, supplied prefilled with gel and with cable sleeves and a lever connector. The JB0016 is an inline gel box in PA66 with silicone sealing gaskets, for secure outdoor connections on H07RNF cables, and it comes with sleeves and a 3-way lever connector.

Connector box for repairs and extensions

The JB004 suits repairs and extensions. It has a polycarbonate housing with a silicone sealing gasket for weather resistance and a 3-terminal strip connector mounted inside, and it is certified to EN 50262.

Mercury 429.920UK for sheltered spots

The Mercury 429.920UK has a tough, durable housing and an IP55 rating, and it is ideal for use outdoors in sheltered locations.

How much water pressure can the IP68 boxes take?

The JB0016 inline gel box is IP68 rated with water resistance up to 5 bar. The JB004 connector box is IP68 rated up to 2 bar, and it is designed for reliable electrical connections in outdoor and underwater applications. The JB0014 gel junction box is IP68 rated for outstanding waterproof protection and is designed to withstand harsh weather conditions.

What voltage can an outdoor electrical enclosure here take?

The JB007BK, JB008BK and JB009BK enclosures are suitable for voltages up to 230V ~50Hz. The IP68 boxes carry their own ratings: the JB0014 has a maximum voltage of 250V/450V and a maximum current of 24A, and the JB004 is rated 16A, 450V. The JB0016 is a 24A gel box for 250V/450V.

The JB0014 is the 3-way junction box, made from PA66 and compatible with H07RNF cables from 0.75mm² to 2.5mm². The JB0016 is the inline gel box, made from durable PA66 with silicone sealing gaskets, for cable diameters from 5mm to 14mm.

How do you install an outdoor electrical box?

Bring the cables in through the cable entries, using a cable size the box takes. The JB007BK, JB008BK and JB009BK enclosures have multiple cable gland entry points, which offer versatility in installation. The JB004 takes cable diameters from 5mm to 10mm and H07RNF 3G cable from 0.75mm² to 4.0mm². Installation of the JB009BK should follow local codes and regulations, and the JB0016 is suitable for both DIY and commercial use.
