Outdoor & IP-Rated Boxes

An outdoor electrical box has one job the indoor version does not: keeping water out of a joint that will sit in weather for twenty years. These are IP-rated surface boxes and enclosures for external sockets and switches.

The range is led by Knightsbridge and covers weatherproof polycarbonate surface boxes in 1 and 2 gang with 32mm depth, and galvanised steel boxes in 25mm and 47mm depths with earth terminals, manufactured to EN 60670, for cable entry and junctions outdoors. Depth matters more than it looks: an accessory with a deep back plate will not close in a shallow box. Gang count, depth, material and IP rating are stated on every product page.
