Texecom Covers

Texecom covers are the front lids of Texecom sounders and bell boxes, bought separately for a replacement, a cosmetic refresh or a new install. This page includes Odyssey X1 and Odyssey X3 covers with coloured frames and lenses, Odyssey 5 and Odyssey 3 covers, an Odyssey 5 dummy, and replacement sounder and siren covers from the Premier Elite and Siren ranges. The WDA-0005 is a cover only and needs an Odyssey X backplate.

Choosing Texecom Covers

Start from the Texecom sounder you already have, because covers are made for a specific family such as Odyssey X1, Odyssey X3, Odyssey 5 or Premier Elite.

Odyssey X1 covers

Odyssey X1 covers are the front lids of Odyssey X external sounders. The WDA-0005 is a cover only: it snaps over an Odyssey X backplate, which carries the electronics and is sold separately, and its sealed twin-shot construction is weatherproof and fade-proof for external use. X1 covers use a white or black frame with a blue, red, white or green lens, and the WDA-0002, WDA-0005 and WDA-0007 each measure H 290 x W 186 x D 58 mm.

Branding, backlighting and Odyssey X3

The WDA-0001 and WDB-0012 take custom graphic inserts for installer branding, and the WDA-0005 accepts photo-quality branded inserts and supports integral backlight. Odyssey X3 covers such as the WDB-0001 and WDB-0002 are compatible with Odyssey X backlit sounders. The WDB-0012 is a red-frame X3 cover whose range pairs with a choice of six electronic backplates: illuminated and non-illuminated Grade 2 and Grade 3 sounders, plus wireless and dummy versions. The WDA-0003 and WDB-0012 are designed to comply with EN50131-4.

Odyssey 5, Premier Elite and siren covers

No. The WDA-0005 is a cover only: it snaps over an Odyssey X backplate, and the electronic backplate or sounder is bought separately. That makes it a quick way to replace or refresh the front of an existing Odyssey X bell box without changing the electronic module. The WDA-0005 works with both backlit and non-backlit Odyssey X backplates.

Which frame and lens colours do Odyssey X1 covers use?

The WDB-0012 range also offers illuminated X3 cover options, which light up the logo on the front of the bell box.

How do I pick a replacement cover for an existing Texecom sounder?

Match the part number of the cover already fitted rather than going by the description. The FCC-0010 and FCC-1643 are Premier Elite sounder covers, the FCC-0808 and FCC-1208 are Siren range covers, and the FCA-0235 belongs to the Sounder range. For Odyssey X bell boxes, also check that an X1 or X3 cover suits the backplate fitted.
