Frequently asked questions
What do I need to install an EZVIZ doorbell?
For the DB1C Kit you need a wired AC doorbell transformer, and the kit SKUs include a transformer; its type and plug vary by region, so verify the kit SKU for regional compatibility. The EP3x Pro comes with inclined mounting brackets, a power cable, screws and templates and a quick start guide, and the HP3 Pro suits properties without existing doorbell wiring. Always isolate power before wiring, and consult a qualified electrician if unsure.
Will the EZVIZ EP3x Pro work with an existing chime?
Yes, when it is wired. The EP3x Pro supports 8–24 VAC wiring and can be integrated with existing chimes when wired, and its user manual gives the wiring details. The DB1C Kit brings its own chime instead. An indoor/outdoor chime and a transformer come in the kit with the DB1C doorbell camera, so compatible doorbell wiring gets a chime and a power supply from the one kit.
How do you charge an EZVIZ doorbell battery?
Over Type-C on the EP3x Pro and over USB-C on the HP3 Pro, and a solar panel is included with the EP3x Pro and with the HP3 Pro. The EP3x Pro has a built-in 5200 mAh battery, and the HP3 Pro has a rechargeable internal battery of about 5,200 mAh. A wired 8–24 V AC connection is optional on the EP3x Pro and the HP3 Pro.
Which EZVIZ video doorbell has two lenses?
The EP3x Pro. Its dual-lens design has a 2K forward-facing camera and a 1080p downward camera, for visitor and package or ground views. The DB1C Kit has a vertical field of view of about 170° to capture visitors and packages on the ground, which gives head-to-toe coverage for doorstep monitoring, and the HP3 Pro has a very wide field of view of about 162°.
Do EZVIZ doorbells detect people and packages?
The EP3x Pro and the HP3 Pro detect people and packages, and the DB1C Kit detects people. The EP3x Pro has AI human-shape and package detection to reduce false alarms, with PIR motion support. The HP3 Pro has a PIR motion sensor plus AI human and package detection, for fewer false alerts. The DB1C Kit has on-device AI person detection, which reduces non-human motion alerts and minimises false notifications.
