CDVI Touch-Free & Touch Exit Devices

Decide first between an infrared exit device with a relay output and a radio transmitter, then between flush and surface mounting.

Infrared exit devices

The RTE-IRF, RTE-IRS and RTE-WIR each trigger when a hand is waved in front of the sensor, with a detection range adjustable over about 3–15 cm. Each has a brushed stainless steel faceplate, a bi-colour LED status indicator and a single relay output with a 2 A @ 24 Vdc contact rating, and each has a mechanical life of about 500,000 cycles. The RTE-IRF fits flush into a standard UK back-box and has an engraved EXIT legend on an 85 × 85 × 6 mm front plate. The RTE-IRS is surface-mount with an engraved EXIT faceplate, runs on 12–24 VDC and draws 20 mA on standby and 42 mA when active. The RTE-WIR is surface-mount with a black ABS back box, measures about 86 × 86 × 14 mm and has an adjustable timer of 0.1–30 s.

Radio exit transmitters

The SENSRAD is a touch-sensitive wireless transmitter for triggering door releases as an exit device. A touch on its face sends the radio signal, a beep confirms the touch, and its built-in battery makes it completely wireless. The SENSRAD has a 200-400m transmission range in open space, and its transmission is protected by KeeLoq hopping code. The TX26-TTHS-B in black and the TX26-TTHS-W in white are 1-channel radio touchless transmitters with an activation range of up to 4cm, audible and visual feedback and up to 300m transmission range in open field, for triggering automatic doors, gates and lights.
