Fike Detectors
Fike detectors are fire detection devices, including Multipoint ASD detectors for Fike's TWINFLEX two-wire systems and its addressable Duonet, Quadnet and CIE-A panels. The Multipoint ASD detectors can be set to smoke, heat or combined modes and come in white and black; the page also holds triple IR and UV-IR flame detectors, detector mounting bases, a tester baffle, a detector packaging box and a TwinflexPro² 8-zone kit.

Choosing Fike Detectors
Choose the detector by the system it joins, then by what it has to detect.
TWINFLEX two-wire detectors
The 204-0003-B is a 2-wire Multipoint ASD detector for TWINFLEX and TWINFLEX Pro systems. It can be set to 3 smoke modes, 3 heat modes or a combined mode, offers an optional integral sounder with a 90dBA output and an integral strobe option, and comes with a black mounting base. The white 204-0003 lets a sounder and strobe be connected when the detector is wired to the system, which reduces the installation time.
Addressable detectors
The 205-0003 and 205-0012 are addressable ASD detectors for Duonet and Quadnet systems, with up to 15 settings of smoke and heat detection and a built-in loop isolator. The black 205-0003-B also works with CIE-A-200 and CIE-A-400 panels, and its black mounting base is included. The white 205-0003-NB is supplied without a base; the 905-0001 mounting bases for the Sita Multipoint ASD detector come in packs of 5.
Detection modes
On the 204-0003-B and 205-0003-B, Smoke 1 is used where ionisation detectors are normally fitted, Smoke 2 where optical detectors are normally fitted and for escape routes, and Smoke 3 in areas prone to nuisance alarms, such as hotel bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms. On the same two detectors, Heat 2 is a standard fixed temperature mode of about 58ºC, suitable for kitchens, and Heat 3 is a high fixed temperature mode of about 90ºC for commercial kitchens and boiler rooms.
Flame detectors
The FIK-IR3-AS11 triple IR flame detector sees a 0.1 m² n-heptane pan fire at up to 80m and detects fireballs or explosions within 40 milliseconds. The FIK-UV-IR-AS11 detects hydrogen fires as well as hydrocarbon fires, sees the same pan fire at up to 30m and detects fireballs or explosions within 5 milliseconds. The two flame detectors have a window heater against condensation and icing.
Kit and spares
The TwinflexPro² 604-0008 kit has a control panel, 7 Multipoint ASD detectors with integral sounder and 2 manual call points. The 15-0239 baffle suits the Solo 460 heat detector tester.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Fike smoke detector?
A Fike smoke detector is a fire detector made by Fike for its Twinflex two-wire and addressable fire alarm systems. Its Multipoint ASD heads can be set to smoke, heat or combined detection, and some versions add an integral sounder or strobe. Match the detector to the panel it will join, since two-wire and addressable heads are not interchangeable. The range here includes Twinflex and addressable detectors and flame detectors.
Does Fike make heat detectors?
Yes, Fike Multipoint ASD detectors can be set to work as heat detectors. A switch in the detector, or commissioning software on addressable systems, selects heat modes such as fixed-temperature or rate-of-rise, as well as smoke and combined modes. Heat modes suit rooms where steam or fumes would cause nuisance alarms from a smoke sensor. The range here includes a baffle for testing Fike heat detectors.
How do you remove a Fike smoke detector?
A Fike detector head comes off its mounting base, and a detector head removal tool on an access pole helps at ceiling height. Disable the zone at the panel first so the removal does not raise a fault, and re-enable it afterwards. Bases with a spring-loaded shorting pin keep the circuit continuous while the head is off. The range here includes a pack of spare mounting bases.
