Emergency Lighting Accessories

Emergency lighting accessories are the spares and parts that keep installed emergency lights and exit signs working between services. This page holds Duceri replacement batteries such as the lithium D002 and the nickel-cadmium EMBAT6V1800, test switches and their keys, exit box and bulkhead legend plates, Knightsbridge running man legend kits, a flush mounting kit and a network card for an emergency lighting control panel.

Choosing Emergency Lighting Accessories

Match a spare to the fitting it serves: a battery by chemistry, voltage, capacity and cell layout, a legend by the sign it was made for.

Replacement batteries

Duceri batteries come in two chemistries. The D001 is a 3.2V 1500mAh lithium iron phosphate battery and the D002 a 3.2V 6000mAh one; the D001E version has a battery enclosure and the D001P a mounting plate. The EMBAT batteries are nickel-cadmium packs at voltages such as 3.6V, 4.8V, 6V, 9.6V and 12V. The layout matters as well as the rating: the EMBAT3.6V1500 is a parallel pack and the EMBAT3.6V1500SER a series pack, so read the full code on the old battery before ordering its replacement.

Test switches and keys

The Duceri EMTS assists the testing of emergency lighting to BS 5266. It is key activated, with 4 pre-programmed test intervals, LED indication for duration tests and an optional audio buzzer. The EMTSLCD adds a digital display, and the EMTSK is a pack of 2 keys for the EMTS and EMTSLCD.

Legends and exit box plates

A legend plate sets the arrow on an exit sign. The ESP EMEXBOXLGDU, EMEXBOXLGDD, EMEXBOXLGDL and EMEXBOXLGDR give up, down, left and right legends for Duceri steel exit boxes, and the EMBULKLGD is an adhesive legend pack for Duceri bulkheads. Knightsbridge legends such as the EMRUNR right arrow and the EMSWINGLR left/right arrow are polycarbonate and rated IP20 for indoor use.

Mounting and control

The EMBULK2FLUSH flush mounting kit lets a Duceri bulkhead be recessed. The Hochiki HEDRING.NET is a network card for the FIREscape Nepto emergency lighting control panel.

Frequently asked questions

What is an emergency lighting power supply?

An emergency lighting power supply is the battery source that keeps an emergency light running when the mains fails. In a self-contained fitting it is usually a rechargeable battery pack inside the light, kept charged by the mains. Replace a worn pack with one that matches the original chemistry, voltage, capacity and wiring layout. The range here includes lithium iron phosphate and nickel-cadmium replacement batteries.

What are emergency lighting accessories?

Emergency lighting accessories are add-on and replacement parts for emergency lights and exit signs, such as batteries, test switches, keys, legend plates and conversion kits. They let you service an existing fitting, change the arrow on a sign or run a test with a key switch. The range here includes test switches, running man legends and a bulkhead flush mounting kit.

What is an emergency lighting kit?

An emergency lighting kit, or conversion kit, adds a battery pack and inverter to a standard light fitting so it stays lit during a power cut. Check that the kit is designed for your fitting, and whether it supports maintained or non-maintained use. The range here includes emergency kits for downlights, low bay fittings and modular luminaires.
