Plugs & Plug Tops

Plugs and plug tops connect the flex of an appliance or lead to a UK mains socket. The range includes Knightsbridge plug tops fitted with a 3A, 5A or 13A fuse, rough use plug tops with a nylon quick fix cord grip, Mercury rubber mains plugs with an impact resistant cover, and Mercury fused mains plugs with shrouded pins in white and in black. The Knightsbridge plug tops are sold in packs of 20.

Choosing Plugs & Plug Tops

Choose a plug by the fuse the appliance needs, then by the cord grip and the body material.

Plug tops by fuse

The Knightsbridge SN1382 is fitted with a 3A fuse, the SN1381 with a 5A fuse, and the SN1383 in white and SN1383BK in black with a 13A fuse. The SN1381, SN1382, SN1383 and SN1383BK are rated at 13A for domestic use, have a screw type cord grip, meet BS 1363-2 and BSI Kitemark standards, and come in bulk in a Knightsbridge inner carton.

Rough use and rubber plugs

For demanding environments, the SN2135W and SN2135B rough use plug tops are made from sturdy PP with a nylon quick fix cord grip and a fitted 13A fuse, BSI Kitemarked and certified to BS 1363-2; the SN2135B has an IP20 rating and is for indoor use only. The Mercury 429.627UK and 429.633UK rubber mains plugs are fused at 13A and approved to BS1363, with a cover of impact resistant PP and rubber, a nylon plug base and a quick fit cord grip.

Fused mains plugs

The Mercury 429.801UK in white is fused at 13A, compliant with BS1363, and has shrouded pins and an integral cord grip. The 429.802UK in black and the 429.804UK in white share the shrouded pins and integral cord grip and are approved to BS1363.
