Ajax Detectors

The Ajax detectors on this page are wireless fire detectors. The range here has EN54 FireProtect Jeweller smoke detectors such as the 119921.275.WH1, FireProtect 2 smoke and heat detectors in mains powered AC, replaceable battery RB and sealed battery SB versions, FireProtect 2 detectors that also sense carbon monoxide, FireProtect smoke and heat detectors, and FireProtect Plus detectors that add a carbon monoxide sensor to smoke and heat detection.

FireProtect Jeweller smoke detectors

The 119921.275.WH1, 119922.275.BL1 and 119920.276.BL1 are EN54-certified wireless addressable point smoke detectors for EN54-compliant systems. They use a dual-spectrum optical sensor (blue and infrared) and run on 2 × CR123A batteries, pre-installed. The 119921.275.WH1 is the smoke-only variant, and the 119920.276.BL1 adds an integrated sounder of up to about 85 dB at 1 m with selectable tones.

FireProtect 2

The FireProtect 2 AC 60832.175.WH1 combines a dual-spectrum smoke sensor with thermistor heat detection and a built-in siren. The AC versions are mains powered (110–240 V) with a non-replaceable backup cell, and the 107283.176 adds a chemical CO sensor. The FireProtect 2 RB runs on replaceable CR123A batteries. SB versions such as the FIREPROTECT2/SB(WHITE) and 106783.150.WH1 have sealed batteries rated for up to 10 years.

FireProtect and FireProtect Plus

The FireProtect 38104.10.BL1 and 38105.10.WH1 combine a photoelectric smoke chamber with a temperature sensor and a siren of about 85 dB. The FireProtect Plus 38106.16.BL1 and 38107.16.WH1 add a carbon monoxide sensor to smoke and heat detection, with a built-in 85 dB siren. The 38107.16.WH1 has CO alarm thresholds of 30, 50, 100 and 300 ppm and a battery life of up to 4 years.

Frequently asked questions

Will an Ajax fire detector work without a hub?

Several will sound locally on their own. The FireProtect 2 AC 60832.175.WH1 is fully functional as a standalone local alarm, the FireProtect 2 RB FIREPROTECT2/RB(WHITE) can operate standalone with its built-in siren, and the FireProtect Plus 38107.16.WH1 can operate independently as a local siren. The 60832.175.WH1 needs an Ajax hub for monitored operation and full interconnect features.

What is the difference between FireProtect 2 RB and SB?

The batteries. The FireProtect 2 RB uses 2 × CR123A batteries, pre-installed and replaceable, with a typical service life of up to about 7 years, while SB versions such as the 106783.150.WH1 have sealed, non-replaceable batteries designed to power the detector for up to 10 years. The FireProtect 2 AC versions are mains powered instead.

Which Ajax detectors here also detect carbon monoxide?

They include the FireProtect 2 AC 107283.176 and the FireProtect Plus 38106.16.BL1 and 38107.16.WH1. The 107283.176 is mains powered and combines dual-spectrum optical smoke, Class A1R heat and chemical CO sensing, while the FireProtect Plus detectors combine smoke, heat and CO sensors with pre-installed batteries and a built-in 85 dB siren.
