Choosing Maglock Brackets & Accessories
Choose by the way the door opens, then by what the door is made of, then by how the finished installation should look.
Inward-opening doors
The STP STP-EM500ZL is an adjustable Z and L bracket set for maglocks on inward opening gates, with a Z bracket that adjusts for a recessed door. The CDVI 300/500Z is an adjustable Z bracket for the armature plates of 300kg, 400kg and 500kg internal surface maglocks. The RGL BKIP300ZL suits inward opening gates with the IP300ML-M external maglock, and its Z bracket gives an extra 20mm of reach for non standard door settings.
Outward-opening doors
The Adams Rite 261-701 adjustable L bracket suits outward opening doors where there is not enough space to fit the magnet to the head of the door frame. The CDVI 500L-ADJ is a fully adjustable L bracket for 500kg magnetic locks, useful where the maglock cannot fit directly under the transom, with a cavity and cut-out that make cabling easier.
Glass doors
The STP STP-GDB012 saddle clamps to the top of an outward opening glass door to hold the armature plate of a slim maglock, without drilling the glass or using adhesive. The Magnetic Solutions MS41GFKIT glass fixing kit suits 10 or 12mm APG doors and needs the MSPENLOC adhesive kit, one per door.
Housings and fire rated brackets
The STP STP-EM520M surface armature housing avoids drilling through the door, and the CDVI 500-AF is a flush armature housing in robust stainless steel. The RGL BK1200ZL Z and L bracket for the ML1200 range is fire tested on 30, 60, 90 and 120 min timber door sets, and the STP-EM500ZL-FIRE is FD30 and FD60 tested.

The RGL MAG-STRAP fixes the maglock to the door frame and the RGL ARM-STRAP fixes the armature plate to the door, for the ML600 and ML1200 range.
What does a maglock armature housing do?
It mounts the armature plate on the door. The STP STP-EM520M lets a standard maglock armature plate be fitted to the door without drilling completely through it, and 2 are needed per double maglock. The CDVI 500-AF is a flush armature housing for 500 kg magnetic locks, and the armature housing on the Adams Rite 261-700 L bracket lets the magnet sit closer to the door.
