Advanced Fire Alarm Equipment

Advanced makes fire alarm control panels and the parts that go with them. This page covers MxPro 5 addressable panels, QuickZone conventional panels and the GO1V single-loop panel, EvacGo evacuation alert panels, SmokeGo smoke control and ExGo extinguishing panels. It also holds the remote terminals, network and loop cards, printers, bezels, enclosures, spares and PC-NeT software used to build, extend or maintain an Advanced fire system.

Choosing Advanced Fire Alarm Equipment

Decide between a conventional and an addressable panel first, then size it by zones or loops and add the peripherals the site needs.

Conventional panels

QuickZone panels are conventional / twin wire (sav-wire) panels with an integral power supply and space for standby batteries. The QZ-2 and QZ-4 provide two or four fire zone circuits plus two monitored sounder circuits, and QuickZone XL panels such as the QZXL-12HS take up to 12 fire zone circuits.

Addressable MxPro 5 panels

MxPro 5 panels are sized by loops. The MX-5201 takes one or two loops, the MX-5401A is fully expandable to 4 loops with 4 onboard sounder circuits, and the MX-5802A expands to 8 loops with 8 onboard sounder circuits. The MX-5401N is configured for the Nittan Evolution protocol and supports up to 254 devices per loop, protocol dependent, while the MX-5401D is the deep enclosure build of the Apollo XP95/Discovery and Hochiki ESP variant.

Evacuation, smoke control and extinguishing

EvacGo panels such as the SP-8629-32 follow BS8629, the code of practice for evacuation alert systems used by fire and rescue services in buildings containing flats. The SC-5101A SmokeGo panel controls smoke control fans and dampers and is approved to EN54 Parts 2 and 4, and the EX-3001 ExGo is a three zone extinguishing panel approved to EN12094-1.

Terminals, networking and fitting

The MX-5010 remote display terminal has a 240 × 64 white backlit LCD, and the TOUCH-10/FT is a 10" touch screen terminal with site maps. MXP-509 fault tolerant network cards join a large Ad-NeT+ 200 panel network, the MXP-512 thermal printer prints the event log, and semi-flush bezels such as the MXM-503 give a recessed finish.

Frequently asked questions

What does an Advanced fire alarm system include?

An Advanced fire alarm system is built around a control panel that monitors detectors, call points and sounders on its loops or zones. Larger sites can add remote display terminals, network cards that link panels, an event printer and PC configuration software. Bezels and enclosures help with recessed or rack fitting. The range here includes Advanced panels, network cards, terminals and bezels.

What fire safety systems does Advanced make?

Advanced makes conventional and addressable fire alarm panels, plus control panels for other fire safety tasks. EvacGo panels provide evacuation alert for fire and rescue services in blocks of flats, SmokeGo panels run smoke control fans and dampers, and ExGo panels control automatic extinguishing. The range here includes EvacGo and SmokeGo panels, an ExGo extinguishing panel and MxPro fire panels.
