Pyronix Contact Sensors

Pyronix contact sensors are wireless magnetic contacts that protect doors, windows, gates, garages and roller shutters. Types include a nano contact that fits discreetly within door or window frames, a surface-mounted contact with zone and tamper inputs, a contact with an added accelerometer shock sensor, and the IP66 MCEXTERNAL-WE outdoor contact.

Frame and surface contacts

The MCNANO-WE is designed for internal perimeter protection and is 66% smaller than traditional models, and it fits discreetly within a door or window frame. It sets up with one-push-to-learn and has a 2-year battery life. The MC1Z1-WE is a compact, surface-mounted Grade 2 contact whose central reed location removes any chance of mispositioning the magnet, and it has external zone and tamper input terminals for wiring in another device.

Contact and shock sensor

The MC1Z2/SHOCK-WE combines a central magnetic reed contact with an accelerometer shock sensor. It has two zone inputs, and it is intended for internal use as a Grade 2 security device.

Outdoor contact

The MCEXTERNAL-WE is an IP66 rated, tamperproof contact for perimeter protection of gates, garages, sheds and roller shutters. It uses two-way wireless technology and has a signal strength indicator to help with positioning. The MCEXTERNAL-WE runs for up to 2 years on a CR123A battery, and it is also compatible with cameras for video verification and voice push notifications.

Panel compatibility

The MC1Z1-WE and MC1Z2/SHOCK-WE work with an Enforcer panel, or with a EURO panel fitted with a ZEM.

Some surface contacts can also join a Pyronix EURO wired panel once a Pyronix wireless expander module is fitted to it. Check the compatibility details for your panel first, because a third-party alarm panel will not usually recognise Pyronix wireless devices.
