Extractor Fans & Ventilation

The extractor fans and ventilation range brings together 100mm (4 inch) Knightsbridge extractor fans and the shutters and grilles that finish the wall outlet. Fans include the EX001T with an overrun timer, IP45 timer fans such as the EX1TWH, the EX1THWH with a humidistat, and LED backlit fans in matt white, stainless steel and matt black. Gravity shutters and fly-screen grilles come in black and in white for 100mm fans.

Choose a fan by the room, the controls you want and the finish, then add a shutter or grille for the outlet.

Timer fans

The EX001T is a 100mm fan for wall and ceiling fitting in kitchens, bathrooms and toilets, extracting 74 cubic metres per hour at 35dBA at 3m, with an over-run timer that sets from 2 to 30 minutes. The IP45 EX1TWH and EX1TBK are Zone 1 rated and extract 24 l/s (87m³/hr); the EX1TBK runs at 28.5 dBA at 3m and has a built-in back draft kit, and the EX1TWH runs at 28.5-30dBA and draws 9.7W on 230V 50Hz.

Humidistat and LED backlit fans

The EX1THWH adds an integrated humidistat for moisture control to an IP45 fan at 28.5dBA, with an overrun timer adjustable between 1 and 30 minutes and preset at 1 minute. The LED backlit fans give a lighting effect while they run: the EX3TWH in matt white and the EX5TMB in matt black have overrun timers of 2 to 30 minutes, and the EX4TSS has a stainless steel finish, extracts 23 l/s (83m³/hr) and draws 10.1W on 230V 50Hz.

Shutters and grilles

The EX007W and EX007B gravity shutters fit 4 inch/100mm fans with round rigid or flexible ducting, prevent backdraught air and rain penetration, and stop vermin getting in when the ventilation is not running. The EX009W and EX009B grilles have a louvered vent with an integral fly screen behind a removable front grille, for internal or external walls.

Which of these IP45 fans are rated for Zone 1?

The EX1TWH, EX1TBK, EX4TSS and EX5TMB are IP45 fans suitable for Zone 1. The EX1THWH is IP45 rated and suitable for wet environments, and the EX3TWH is an IP45 LED backlit fan, but no zone is stated for either. The EX001T timer fan is rated IPX2.

How long can the overrun timers be set to run?

What does a gravity shutter stop?

A gravity shutter such as the EX007W or EX007B prevents backdraught air and rain penetration, and stops vermin entering when the ventilation is not running. These shutters fit 4 inch/100mm fans, work with round rigid or flexible ducting and are made from polycarbonate, the EX007W in white and the EX007B in black.
