WME Care Plan Terms and Conditions

By purchasing the WME Care Plan (“Care Plan”), you (“you” or “your”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). These Terms apply in addition to WME’s standard Returns Policy and comply with applicable UK consumer law. Please read them carefully.
1. Introduction
1.1 Provider
WME (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an electrical superstore specializing in electronic items ranging from household electronics and kitchen appliances to CCTV and security devices.
1.2 Scope
The Care Plan provides extended benefits and is optional. Where these Terms differ from our standard policies, the additional rights under the Care Plan apply only to Care Plan holders.
1.3 No Impact on Statutory Rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to reduce or limit your statutory consumer rights under UK consumer law. If there is any conflict between these Terms and your statutory rights, your statutory rights will prevail.
2. Care Plan Benefits
2.1 Extended Return Period
- Care Plan members may return items within 30 days of delivery (instead of the standard 14 days) provided the items:
- Are unused and in the same condition as received
- Have not been installed
- Are in their original packaging with all accessories and documentation
- Return eligibility is always subject to our standard Returns Policy, and the product must meet all return criteria.
2.2 Replacement Items Within 10 Calendar Days
- If a faulty item (as determined by Section 4 below) is approved for replacement, we strive to dispatch a replacement within 10 calendar days of confirming fault.
- Exceptions: Recording devices, cameras, or other products requiring specialist assessment may take longer to process before replacement.
2.3 Exclusive Discounts
- Care Plan members receive periodic discounts and promotional offers not available to non-members. These offers will be communicated by email or via your WME account.
2.4 Free Recycling for Replacements
- If your product is deemed faulty and replaced, we will recycle the returned product at no additional cost to you.
2.5 Exclusions (No Coverage)
- The Care Plan does not cover:
- Accidental Damage
- Cosmetic Damage (e.g., scratches, dents, or normal wear and tear)
- Damage Resulting From Incorrect Installation
3. Return and Refund Process Under the Care Plan
3.1 Initiating a Return
- All customers must complete our online returns form to request a return or replacement.
- Items must be sent back in line with the requirements of our standard Returns Policy.
3.2 Return Shipping Costs
- Customers are responsible for paying return shipping costs.
- If the item is confirmed faulty, we will send a replacement at no additional cost.
3.3 Inspection and Eligibility
- Returned products undergo inspection by WME and, if necessary, the manufacturer.
4. Faulty vs. Non-Faulty Determinations
4.1 Definition of Faulty
A product is “Faulty” if it is not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described.
4.2 Assessment Process
- Initial testing may be conducted by WME.
- Final determination is made by the manufacturer.
4.3 Outcome
- If Faulty: A refund or replacement will be offered.
- If Non-Faulty: The product will be returned at no added cost.
5. Limitations and Exclusions
The Care Plan does not cover accidental or cosmetic damage, incorrect installation, or provide financial insurance.
6. General Provisions
6.1 Your Statutory Rights
These Terms do not affect your statutory rights.
6.2 Cancellation
- You may cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided no benefits were used.
- After 14 days, cancellations are at WME’s discretion.
6.3 Changes to the Care Plan
- WME reserves the right to amend or discontinue the Care Plan.
6.4 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
