Choose a lamp by its cap and shape first, then check the Wi-Fi network it will join.

Wi-Fi lamps by cap

The GLS9ESKW is a 9W RGB and CCT ES GLS lamp for a 230V supply, and the GLS9BCKW is a 9W RGB and CCT BC GLS lamp. The GU5KWB is a 4.5W RGB and CCT GU10 lamp, and the CL5KW is a 5W RGB and CCT SES candle lamp. All four set their colour and colour temperature from a Wi-Fi app, adjust from 2700K to 6500K, and are dimmable.

Wi-Fi band

The CL5KW, GLS9BCKW and GU5KWB work with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only, and the CL5KW and GU5KWB support IEEE 802.11 b/g/n. Check the router during setup: consult the router manual for the CL5KW and GLS9ESKW, and adjust the router settings for the GU5KWB.

Smart downlight

The SpektroLED Evo SPKEVFKRGBW is a fire-rated smart downlight whose RGB and CCT are adjusted in the SmartKnight app. It is fire-rated for various construction types (30/60/90min), and its IP65 rating makes it suitable for dry and wet locations. It runs on 230V direct to the fixture with loop in, loop out connectors, fits with a magnetic bezel, is complete with a white bezel, and has a 5-year warranty included.

How do smart bulbs work?

The CL5KW and GU5KWB use IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi on the 2.4GHz band, and the GLS9BCKW is compatible with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. The SPKEVFKRGBW downlight is adjusted from the SmartKnight app.

Can the smart lamps give white light as well as colour?

Yes, the GLS9ESKW, GLS9BCKW, GU5KWB and CL5KW are RGB and CCT lamps, so the app sets either a colour or a white colour temperature between 2700K and 6500K, and all four are dimmable. The SPKEVFKRGBW SpektroLED Evo downlight also adjusts RGB and CCT, from the SmartKnight app.
