Fike Control Panels
Fike TwinflexPro2 panels run a two-wire fire alarm system, where detectors, call points and sounders share one pair of wires per zone. The page includes TwinflexPro2 panels in 2-zone (505-0002) and 8-zone (505-0008) versions and the black TWINFLEX 4 ZONE PANEL, which can take repeater panels over an RS485 data link, plus the 540-0030 accessory for flush mounting CIE-A-200 and CIE-A-400 fire panels.

Choosing Fike Control Panels
Choose the number of zones first, then decide whether the building needs repeater panels at secondary entrances.
How Twinflex two-wire works
On a TwinflexPro2 system, detectors, call points and sounders share a single 2-core screened cable per zone, which reduces cabling and installation time. The 505-0002 takes up to 32 devices per zone, subject to device loading units, and distinguishes detector alarms from manual call point activations.
2-zone and 8-zone panels
The 505-0002 is a 2-zone panel with an LCD of 4 lines by 20 characters, a keypad, a log of 500 events and checkpoint alarm confirmation for dwelling and communal zoning, and it complies with EN54-2/4. It needs two 12 V, 3.3 Ah standby batteries. The 505-0008 has 8 onboard detection zones, day/night modes, programmable alarm confirmation and delay, common fire and fault relays and an integral mains PSU, and it can be linked to repeaters with optional cards.
4 zone panel and repeaters
The TWINFLEX 4 ZONE PANEL BLACK is a Pro2 range panel in black. Its zones are designated dwelling or communal: in a dwelling, a pre-alarm sounds just the local sounder while the cause is investigated, and an activation in a communal area starts a full alarm immediately. Repeater panels on the TWINFLEX 4 ZONE PANEL BLACK connect over an RS485 data link and report fire and fault events at secondary building entrances. A maximum of 8 repeater panels can be connected to a single control panel; they do not connect to or control any devices, but can silence alarms, reset, sound alarms and silence the buzzer over the data link.
Flush mounting
The 540-0030 allows flush installation of CIE-A-200 and CIE-A-400 fire panels, aligning at a depth of 83mm with 36mm surface projection.

Frequently asked questions
What makes a Twinflex panel a two-wire system?
Detectors and sounders are installed on the same pair of wires, one pair per zone. The 505-0008 uses a single 2-core screened cable per zone for detectors, call points and sounders. With the TWINFLEX 4 ZONE PANEL BLACK, a Multipoint ASD detector wired to the system can also have a sounder and strobe connected without extra installation time.
Which Fike control panel should I choose?
Choose the Fike control panel by the number of zones the building needs. The 505-0002 is the 2-zone TwinflexPro2 panel and the 505-0008 has 8 onboard detection zones, while the TWINFLEX 4 ZONE PANEL BLACK has 4 zones and accepts repeater panels over an RS485 data link. The 505-0002 takes up to 32 devices per zone, subject to device loading units.
What is Checkpoint alarm confirmation?
It is a Fike feature that gives a pre-alarm in a dwelling before a full evacuation. On the TWINFLEX 4 ZONE PANEL BLACK, zones are set as dwelling or communal; a dwelling activation sounds only the local sounder during the verification period, while a communal activation starts a full alarm immediately. On that panel the pre-alarm can be programmed between 1 and 5 minutes, and the 505-0002 also has checkpoint functionality for dwelling and communal zoning.
What is a fire alarm control panel?
It is the panel that the detectors, call points and sounders of a fire alarm system are wired back to, zone by zone. The 505-0008 is an intelligent two-wire fire alarm control panel on which those devices share one 2-core screened cable per zone, with a 4 × 20 character LCD and a 500-event log. The TWINFLEX 4 ZONE PANEL BLACK tells call point alarms apart from detector alarms and gives a separate fault monitoring display per zone.
What standby batteries do the TwinflexPro2 panels need?
The 505-0002 requires two 12 V, 3.3 Ah standby batteries. The 505-0008 has an integral mains PSU and requires external 2 x 12 V sealed lead-acid standby batteries, typically 2 x 3.2 Ah. Battery sizing for a particular installation should be checked by the engineer commissioning the panel against the Fike datasheet.
