Apollo Call Points

An Apollo call point is a manual call point from Apollo Fire that starts a fire alarm when its element is pressed; the 55400-894APO, for example, is an AlarmSense manual call point with a resettable operating element. Match the call point to the fire alarm system first, then add the cover or keys that testing and maintenance need.

AlarmSense two-wire operation

The 55400-894APO is designed to operate on a loop of AlarmSense compatible two wire fire alarm systems and works with AlarmSense compatible control panels. When activated, it introduces a load onto the line; the fire control panel detects it and increases the line voltage, which activates the sounders. The 55400-894APO shows an alarm through rotation of its resettable element, with yellow and black indication bars and a solid red LED.

Construction and certification

The 55400-894APO is moulded in fire retardant polycarbonate, carries EN 54-11 certification and suits semi flush or surface mounting. Its 170° viewable LED and front reset mechanism make checks easier, and it resets with the supplied reset key.

Reset keys and covers

The 44251-176APO is a pack of 10 plastic reset and test keys that let authorised personnel operate and reset Apollo XP95 manual call points for routine testing without breaking the glass element. The 44251-189APO is a transparent hinged cover for single Apollo manual call points: its clip-on clear lid must be lifted before the call point is operated, helping to reduce accidental or malicious activations while the call point stays visible for inspection.
