Ajax Alarm Kits

An Ajax alarm kit is an Ajax hub packaged with a set of wireless devices, so a complete intruder alarm can be bought in one box. This range covers kits built on the original Ajax Hub, Hub 2, Hub 2 (2G) and Hub 2 Plus, with MotionProtect or MotionCam detectors, DoorProtect contacts, StreetSiren and HomeSiren, KeyPad or SpaceControl key fobs.

Choosing Ajax Alarm Kits

Choose a kit by the hub it is built on, the detectors it includes and how the system is armed.

Hub

The hub is the control panel. The Hub 2 (2G) kit 35651.114.WH1 connects by Ethernet and two 2G SIM cards, and Hub 2 kits add photo verification when paired with MotionCam detectors. Some kits are built on the original Ajax Hub with LAN and GPRS.

Detectors and sirens

Most kits include motion detectors, MotionProtect S or MotionCam S (PhOD) on some Superior kits, and a DoorProtect or DoorProtect S contact, with a StreetSiren outdoor siren and a HomeSiren indoor siren to sound the alarm.

Arming

Most kits come with a KeyPad, KeyPad Plus S, KeyPad TouchScreen or 2 SpaceControl key fobs, and the kits are also controlled from the Ajax app.

Superior (S) line

Kits with an S in the name, such as KIT2 S, KIT5 S and KIT18 S, use the Superior line of devices, and the KIT2 S and the KIT5 S 90771.246.WH1 use Jeweller radio. Kits come in black or white.

The Hub 2 (2G) kit 35651.114.WH1 communicates over Ethernet and two 2G SIM cards and supports photo verification.

Can I add more devices to an Ajax kit?

Yes. A kit's hub accepts further Ajax detectors, contacts, keypads and sirens, paired in the Ajax app, so a kit can grow to cover more rooms or add fire detection on the same hub. Check the hub's device limit on its product page.

What does the S mean on Ajax kits?

The S denotes Ajax's Superior line, used in kits such as KIT2 S, KIT5 S and KIT18 S; the KIT5 S, for example, has MotionProtect S, DoorProtect S and KeyPad Plus S devices. Superior devices are aimed at professional installation for homes and commercial sites.

Does an Ajax kit include photo verification?

Some do. The Ajax 90789.241.WH1 kit includes 2 MotionCam S (PhOD) detectors on a Hub 2 Plus; these have built-in cameras that capture images when motion is detected, giving visual verification of the event. Kits with MotionProtect detectors detect motion without taking photos.

How is an Ajax kit armed and disarmed?

With the keypad, key fobs or the Ajax app. Most kits include a KeyPad, KeyPad Plus S or KeyPad TouchScreen, or 2 SpaceControl key fobs, and the kits can also be armed, disarmed and checked from the Ajax app on a phone.

What colours do Ajax kits come in?

White or black. The code at the end of the part number gives the colour: WH1 for white, such as the KIT18 S 107113.291.WH1 and the 111232.301.WH1, and BL1 for black, such as the 107112.291.BL1 and 23336.45.BL1. Choose the colour on the product page before ordering.

Is an Ajax alarm kit fully wireless?

Yes. KIT2 S, KIT5 S and KIT18 S are wireless intruder alarm kits, and in the KIT2 S and the KIT5 S 90771.246.WH1 the devices talk to the hub over Ajax's Jeweller radio, so no cable is run between devices. The hub connects out over Ethernet or cellular.
