Energizer Products

This page brings together two Energizer lines: LED filament bulbs and Alkaline Power batteries. The bulbs are 2700K warm white filament lamps in candle and GLS shapes with B22, E14 and E27 caps, from 4W at 470 lm to 8W at 1,060 lm, in dimmable and non-dimmable versions. The batteries come in 24 packs of AA (656.930UK) and AAA (656.931UK) cells.

Choosing Energizer Products

Pick the cap first, then the shape and brightness, then whether the bulb has to work with a dimmer.

Cap type

Match the cap to the lamp holder. B22 (BC) bayonet caps include the 7W S12851 GLS and the 5W S12855 candle. E27 (ES) screw caps include the 8W S12858 GLS and the 5W S29786 candle. E14 (SES) screw bases include the 5W S12856 and 4W S12869 candles.

Candle or GLS

Candle bulbs such as the S12870 suit chandeliers, wall sconces and bedside lamps. Each 4W candle gives 470 lm, about the light of a 40W incandescent bulb, and the 5W S12856 gives 550 lm. The GLS bulbs keep the classic GLS shape: the 7W S12852 gives 806 lm as a 60W incandescent replacement, and the 8W S12858 gives 1,060 lm as a 75W replacement for ceiling pendants, drum shades and lanterns.

Dimmable or not

The dimmable bulbs, such as the 5W S12856 and the 7W S12851, are for use with an LED-compatible dimmer. Non-dimmable bulbs such as the 8W S12857 and the 4W S12870 are for circuits without a dimmer, so check the switch before you choose.

Beam and rating

Bulbs such as the 7W S12852 have a 320° beam that fills shades and rooms uniformly, and the S12869 is IP20 rated for indoor dry areas, on 220–240V. The S12868 is a non-dimmable candle with a clear glass filament design and an Energy Rating of E.

Batteries

The Alkaline Power 24 packs come in AA, the 656.930UK, and AAA, the 656.931UK, for devices such as remotes, clocks, torches, toys and baby monitors. Each pack has great resistance to leakage and comes in plastic-free packaging.

Frequently asked questions

What are Energizer batteries used for?

Energizer alkaline batteries power everyday devices such as remote controls, torches, wireless game controllers, toys, walkie-talkies and portable audio. Alkaline cells suit low and moderate drain devices, while very high drain gadgets may run longer on lithium or rechargeable cells. The range here includes multipacks of AA and AAA Energizer Alkaline Power cells.

How long do Energizer batteries last?

Energizer alkaline batteries usually last for months in low drain devices such as remote controls and clocks, but far less time in high drain devices such as motorised toys. Unused alkaline cells typically keep their charge for several years in storage. Check the expiry date on the pack, and take batteries out of devices that will sit unused.
