This page brings together Hikvision analogue CCTV kits and two smart door locks. Each kit pairs two or four turret cameras at 2MP, 5MP or 8MP (4K) resolution with an AcuSense DVR, so the cameras and recorder arrive together. The DL1 smart door lock opens with a PIN code or a mechanical key, and the DL2 smart door lock adds fingerprint, app, RFID card, voice assistant, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi entry.

2MP, 5MP and 4K CCTV kits

The 2MP, 5MP and 4K kits are sold in two-camera and four-camera versions. The 2MP kits use turrets with a 2.8 mm wide-angle lens, night vision to 40 m, IP67 weatherproofing and a built-in microphone with audio over coax. The 5MP kits are built around 5 MP fixed-lens turret cameras with built-in audio. The 4K kits use 8MP turrets with a 2.8 mm lens, Smart EXIR night vision to 60 m and an IP67 rating.

The AcuSense DVR

In the 2MP and 4K kits the DVR uses H.265 Pro+ compression, filters motion alerts to people and vehicles, and supports storage of up to 10 TB. The DVR in the two-camera 2MP kit has four BNC analogue inputs with HDMI and VGA outputs, and the four-camera 2MP and 4K kits are installed with coax and BNC video cabling plus 12 V DC power to the cameras. The 5MP kits pair their cameras with a 4-channel AcuSense hybrid DVR.

DL1 and DL2 smart door locks

The DL1 is a PIN keypad lock for aluminium, wood, steel, stainless steel and brass doors. It takes 4–12 digit codes for up to 20 users, with a scramble code function that hides the real PIN, runs on 4 × AA alkaline batteries and has a USB Type-C emergency charging port, a mechanical key override, anti-prying and failed-attempt alarms, and a body as thin as 13mm. The DL2 unlocks 8 ways, including fingerprint, RFID card, app and voice assistant, and locks itself automatically when you leave.

Which Hikvision kit resolution should I choose, 2MP, 5MP or 4K?

Match the resolution to the detail you need. The 2MP kits use 2MP turrets with night vision to 40 m, the 5MP kits use 5 MP fixed-lens turrets with built-in audio, and the 4K kits use 8MP turrets with Smart EXIR night vision to 60 m. Two-camera and four-camera kits are offered at 2MP, 5MP and 4K, recording on an AcuSense DVR.

Do the cameras in these CCTV kits pick up sound?

The 2MP and 5MP kits are sold with audio turrets. The 2MP turrets have a built-in microphone with audio over coax, and the 5MP kits are built around 5 MP fixed-lens turret cameras with built-in audio, with an integrated microphone on the turrets in the two-camera 5MP kit.

How much recording storage do the kit DVRs support?

The 2MP and 4K kits support storage of up to 10 TB on the AcuSense DVR, which in the two-camera versions takes a single SATA drive. Those recorders use efficient H.265 Pro+ compression. In the two-camera 5MP kit, the 4-channel AcuSense hybrid DVR has single-drive storage support and H.265 Pro+ compression.

What happens if the DL1 lock batteries run flat?

You can still open the door. The DL1 runs on 4 × AA alkaline batteries for up to 9 months and gives low-battery warning alerts, and it has a USB Type-C emergency charging port for use in case of battery depletion. A mechanical key override also gives backup access to the door.

Can the DL2 let a visitor in while I am away?

Yes, from the DL2 mobile app. It can give family, cleaners or guests access from your phone and remove it at any time, lock or unlock the door from anywhere, and create one-time or timed PIN codes. The app also shows who unlocked the door and when, and sends an alert when the door opens.
