Hearing loop kits by room

The AKL1, AKM3, AKR1 and AKT1 are each built around a wall-mountable PDA200E amplifier, and each is fully compliant with BS EN 60118-4 when correctly installed; loop cable is not included. What changes is the input: the AKL1 for lecture rooms adds a tie/desk microphone and a lectern microphone, the AKM3 for meeting and seminar rooms a PRO45 hanging ambient microphone, the AKR1 for waiting rooms a line level input plate for a paging system, and the AKT1 for TV and music lounges a handheld microphone.

Smaller loops, a radio microphone and a wall mount

The DL50/K is a free-standing domestic loop amplifier kit covering 50m², with an alert tone input for doorbells, fire alarms and security systems. The PL1/K3 packs an amplifier, charger and carry case with one-button operation. The AMR/HA radio microphone kit has four selectable frequencies, and the PDA/WM kit wall-mounts a PDA Pro-Range amplifier.

Accessible toilet and pull cord kits

The NC951 is a BS8300 compliant accessible toilet alarm kit with a ceiling and wall mountable pull cord unit and a Call Accept function for staff. The NC951/SS is a brushed stainless steel single zone version for hotels, leisure centres and supermarkets, and the QT951 adds BS8300 compliant toilet alarm functions to a Quantec Addressable Call System. The NCP-12 pack holds 3m of red anti-bacterial, wipe-clean cord for Quantec and 800 Series ceiling pulls.

Fire, alert and set-up kits

The HAK/1 is a conventional stand-alone Grade C domestic fire detection kit to BS 5839-6 (2019) for individual flats, with a Hush-ActiV controller and 72-hour rechargeable battery. The BF325/K1 AlertBuddy listens for a fire alarm, then flashes, sounds a low-frequency tone and activates a vibrating pillow pad. The BF423 configures C-TEC's BF560 and BF562 power supplies from a Windows PC, and the ZTOOLS kit supplies an installation CD and USB lead.

Which C-TEC hearing loop kit suits which room?

Do the C-TEC hearing loop kits include the loop cable?

No. The AKL1, AKM3, AKR1 and AKT1 are each supplied without loop cable, and the LOOP2W 1mm² cable is suitable for most applications. Each kit does include Belden cable, 6m on the AKM3 and AKR1 and two 6m lengths on the AKL1 and AKT1, alongside the PDA200E amplifier and its microphones or input plates.

What is the difference between the NC951, NC951/SS and QT951?

The NC951 is a BS8300 compliant accessible toilet alarm kit with a Call Accept function for staff. The NC951/SS is a brushed stainless steel single zone kit; where a fully BS8300 compliant system is required, the NC951 standard plastic kit is the one to use. The QT951 is an expansion kit that adds BS8300 compliant toilet alarm functions to a Quantec Addressable Call System, with calls accepted at a Quantec display.

What is the HAK/1 domestic fire alarm kit?

The HAK/1 is a conventional stand-alone Grade C domestic fire detection system that complies with BS 5839-6 (2019), for individual flats and apartments. It includes a Hush-ActiV controller with a 72-hour rechargeable battery, its EN54 certified devices are monitored for head removal and circuit faults, and battery life is in excess of 10 years.
