TP-Link CCTV Cameras
TP-Link CCTV cameras on this page are VIGI InSight network cameras in bullet and turret bodies, all powered over PoE. The range runs from 4MP to 8MP, with a choice of fixed 2.8mm or 4mm lens on models such as the S355, S385 and S485, and a motorised 2.7-13.5mm varifocal lens on the S345ZI and S445ZI. The VIGI VJB-300 junction box is here too, to hide the cabling behind a wall or ceiling camera.

Choosing TP-Link CCTV Cameras
Pick the body and resolution first, then the lens, then plan the power supply and where the footage will be kept.
Bullet or turret, colour or IR
The 5MP S355 bullet has a side cable outlet for external walls and soffit installs, and the 8MP S385 bullet has an IP67 housing for exposed areas. The S455 and S485 turrets are made for mounting on ceilings or under eaves. Full-colour models such as the S355, S455 and S485 add white LEDs to keep colour in the picture at night, up to 30m, and AI human and vehicle classification on the S385 and S485 filters out irrelevant movement to reduce false alarms.
Fixed or varifocal lens
On a fixed lens model the 2.8mm lens gives the wider view and the 4mm lens reaches further. The S485 covers 111.4° with the 2.8mm lens and 91.5° with the 4mm, and its Identify distance is 8m with the 2.8mm lens and 11m with the 4mm. The S345ZI bullet and S445ZI turret have a motorised 2.7-13.5mm varifocal lens with 5x optical zoom and a 60m IR range, and the S345ZI field of view can be adjusted remotely to focus on gates or entrances.
Power, storage and mounting
Models such as the S385, S445 and S485 take PoE or 12V DC, and on the S445 PoE gives single-cable power and data transmission. Each camera here has local MicroSD storage, with cards of 512GB supported, and ONVIF support lets the S355 and S485 work with third-party NVRs. The VJB-300 is an aluminium alloy junction box, 125 × 130.47 × 45.7 mm, that hides power and Ethernet cables behind bullet, turret, dome and pan-tilt VIGI cameras on a wall or ceiling.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose a CCTV camera?
Start with where it will be fixed, then pick the resolution and the lens. The S355 bullet has a side cable outlet for external wall placement and soffit installs, while the S455 and S485 turrets suit ceilings or mounting under eaves. In the turret body the S445 is 4MP, the S455 5MP and the S485 8MP. For optical zoom, the S345ZI and S445ZI have a motorised varifocal lens with 5x zoom.
Is a 2.8mm or a 4mm lens better on a VIGI camera?
A 2.8mm lens covers a wider area and a 4mm lens sees detail further away. On the S385 the 2.8mm lens gives a 111.4° field of view and the 4mm lens 91.5°, and its detection distance is 85m with the 2.8mm lens and 107m with the 4mm. On the S385 the 4mm lens suits focusing on gates or entrances.
Can a VIGI camera record without an NVR?
Yes, each camera here has a MicroSD slot, with cards of 512GB supported, so footage can be stored in the camera itself. The S345ZI can record locally without requiring an NVR, which suits remote or small installations, and it is managed through the VIGI App, Web UI, VIGI VMS or VIGI Cloud.
Will a VIGI camera give a colour picture after dark?
The full-colour models do. The S385 uses integrated IR and white LEDs with a 30m range to give colour imaging in very low light, and the S455 and S485 also pair IR with white LEDs. The varifocal S345ZI and S445ZI have IR night vision with a 60m range.
How do I install a CCTV camera?
Fix the camera with the mounting accessories supplied, then connect it by network cable for power and data. The S345ZI package includes a mounting kit and screws, waterproof cable attachments and a quick installation guide, and on the S445 PoE gives single-cable power and data transmission. The S345 mounting base allows installation on walls, ceilings or poles, and the VJB-300 junction box hides the power and Ethernet cables behind the camera.
