Haydon HAY-WSA5 A5 CCTV Warning Sign, Data-Compliant, 154×210 mm

Introduction to the Haydon HAY-WSA5 A5 CCTV Warning Sign and its key features

Haydon HAY-WSA5 — A5 CCTV / Security Warning Signis a compact, purpose-built notice designed to meet everyday CCTV notice needs in shops, offices, communal entrances and other small- to medium-scale locations. It uses high-contrast black and yellow police/security colours on a white background to maximise short-range legibility and includes space for operator details (name/contact) to help meet data-protection notice expectations.

Available from trade distributors as either a rigid sign or a self-adhesive/window sticker (often listed as HAY-WSA5 and HAY-WSA5-STICKER), this A5-format sign is sold with nominal external dimensions listed as 154 × 210 mm by Haydon. It’s positioned as a branded alternative to generic unbranded CCTV notices and is aimed at installers, facilities managers and small-business owners who need an off‑the‑shelf compliant-looking warning sign.

Detailed description: specifications and benefits

Key specification points and the practical benefits they deliver are:

• Product code:HAY-WSA5 — easy to reference when ordering and checking datasheets with distributors.
• Nominal size:A5 — compact for doors, windows and confined spaces where a full A4 sign would be disproportionate.
• External dimensions:Listed as 154 × 210 mm (Haydon listing).
• Legend:Standard CCTV warning wording (for example, "These premises are protected by Closed Circuit Television") — clear, direct wording suited to public notices.
• Colour:High-contrast black and yellow on white — chosen for rapid recognition and to follow common visual conventions used by law-enforcement and security signage.
• Variants:Available as a rigid sign or a self-adhesive/window sticker (HAY-WSA5-STICKER) — giving installers options for different mounting substrates and environments.
• Operator details field:Space provided for operator name/contact; exact layout varies between sticker and rigid variants — request the Haydon datasheet for the precise format if you need to pre-print or record details.

Benefits at a glance:

• Compact size makes the sign unobtrusive while still being visible at typical approach distances for doors and counters.
• Clear visual language aids legibility, helping passers-by quickly identify the presence of CCTV.
• Branded Haydon product offers a level of traceability and distribution support that generic signs may not provide.
• Choice of rigid or sticker formats increases installation flexibility — choose a sticker for glass and smooth surfaces, or a rigid panel where more robust mounting is required.

Use cases and scenarios where the HAY-WSA5 excels

The HAY-WSA5 is most effective in situations where a compact, compliant-looking CCTV notice is required without the bulk or cost of larger signage. Typical use cases include:

• Retail entrance doors and windows:A small sticker or rigid sign on the main entrance clearly informs customers as they enter, without overwhelming shopfront graphics.
• Office reception areas:Mounted near reception desks, turnstiles or access control points to support privacy notices and staff awareness.
• Communal residential buildings:Notice on communal doors, lift lobbies or mailbox areas where discrete yet visible warning is appropriate.
• Small industrial enclosures and plant rooms:Attached to enclosures or barriers to warn contractors and staff when CCTV is in use in restricted areas.
• Temporary event or pop-up locations:Sticker variants are easy to apply and remove after a short-term installation, making them suitable for markets, festivals or temporary security deployments.

In each scenario the key strengths are visibility at close range, a compact footprint, and the option to include operator contact details so that notices sit alongside data-protection practices rather than replacing them.

How it compares with similar products on the market

Comparisons are useful when choosing the right sign for application and budget. The HAY-WSA5 should be considered against three common alternatives: standard printed A5 generic signs, larger A4/A3 CCTV notices, and specialised laminated/metal signs for outdoor use.

• Vs generic unbranded A5 signs:Haydon branding and distributor support typically mean more consistent quality control and easier re-ordering. Generic signs may be cheaper but can have variable print quality and unknown materials.
• Vs larger A4 or A3 signs:Larger signs are better for long-distance visibility (car parks, large yards). The HAY-WSA5 is ideal where the viewer is close; choose larger formats where the sign must be legible from greater distances.
• Vs laminated/metal outdoor signs:For permanent outdoor exposure in harsh weather, dedicated outdoor-rated materials (aluminium composite, rigid PVC with UV laminate) are preferable.

Overall, the HAY-WSA5 sits in the market as a value-focused branded option: more reliable than many generic alternatives, more compact than large-format warnings, and flexible in format choice (rigid or sticker).

Conclusion: why choose the Haydon HAY-WSA5 CCTV warning sign

The Haydon HAY-WSA5 is a practical, compact CCTV warning sign that works well where a small, legible notice is required. Its high-contrast black and yellow styling, the option of a rigid panel or self-adhesive sticker, and the inclusion of operator details space make it a sensible choice for retail, reception areas, communal entrances and many small-scale security applications.

In short: if you need a compact, branded CCTV notice with flexible mounting options and good short-range visibility, the Haydon HAY-WSA5 is a practical and cost-effective option — provided you verify material and sizing for your installation.
