Ruijie Switches

Ruijie switches here, many sold under the Reyee name, include 5-port desktop switches, unmanaged PoE switches for CCTV, cloud-managed smart switches, Layer 2 and Layer 3 managed switches with 10G SFP+ uplinks, multi-gig PoE++ campus switches, core and aggregation switches, and industrial models for DIN-rail or wall mounting. Smart models such as the RG-ES208GC are managed on Ruijie Cloud and add IP camera recognition and automatic loop prevention.

Choosing Ruijie Switches

Count the ports and the PoE power the devices will draw, then decide how much management the network needs.

Unmanaged switches

Unmanaged switches are plug-and-play. The RG-ES108GD is an 8-port gigabit switch in a metal case, compact enough for ELV boxes and waterproof junction boxes, and the RG-ES124G-L is a fanless 24-port unit switching at 48 Gbps. Unmanaged PoE models power cameras and access points too: the RG-ES110GDS-P has 8 gigabit PoE/PoE+ ports with a 120W budget and 2 SFP uplinks, and the RG-ES126S-LP V2 has 24 PoE/PoE+ ports at 10/100 Mbps with a 180 W budget.

Cloud-managed smart switches

Smart switches such as the RG-ES205GC are managed on Ruijie Cloud, with IP camera recognition and automatic loop prevention. The RG-ES210GS-P adds an IPC offline alarm, individual port reboot and an extended PoE distance mode, and the RG-ES226GC-P has 24 PoE+ ports with a 370 W budget.

Layer 2 and Layer 3 managed

The RG-NBS3200-24GT4XS-P is a Layer 2 cloud-managed PoE switch with 24 gigabit ports and 4 SFP+ uplinks, and the RG-NBS3200-48GT4XS has a switching capacity of 176 Gbps. Layer 3 models such as the RG-NBS5200-24GT4XS add routing and 6KV surge protection, and the RG-CS83-48GT4XS-P offers a 405 W PoE budget with VSU and the RGOS operating system. For a core or aggregation layer, the RG-NBS5500-12XS has twelve 10 Gbps SFP+ ports and the RG-CS85-48SFP4XS-D has 48 optical SFP ports.

Multi-gig and industrial

The RG-NBS3300-16MG4XS-HP has 16 multi-gig ports and a 370 W budget, with ports 1–4 giving up to 90 W each. The RG-NIS2100-4GT2SFP-HP is an industrial switch with an IP40 aluminium enclosure, rated for −40 °C to +75 °C, and the RG-NIS2100-8GT2SFP-HP is fanless with one PoE++ port.

Choose unmanaged for a simple plug-and-play network, and managed when you need VLANs, security policies or remote setup. The unmanaged RG-ES116G-L needs no configuration and can be visible in Ruijie Cloud when a managed Ruijie device is present. Cloud-managed switches such as the RG-NBS3100-24GT4SFP-V2 add VLANs, link aggregation and zero-touch provisioning.

How much PoE power budget do I need?

Choose a budget above the total draw of the cameras and access points you will connect. The RG-ES205GC-P has a 54 W budget across 4 PoE/PoE+ ports, the RG-ES110GDS-P 120W across 8, and the RG-ES226GC-P 370 W across 24 PoE+ ports. For a high-power device, the RG-NIS2100-8GT2SFP-HP has a PoE++ port rated up to 90 W.

Which Ruijie switches suit a CCTV network?

Look for PoE with IP camera recognition. The RG-ES206GS-P has 4 PoE+ ports with IP camera recognition and automatic loop prevention, and the RG-ES210GS-P adds an IPC offline alarm and individual port reboot. For longer camera runs, the RG-ES110GS-P-L supports extended PoE up to about 250 m in extension mode.

What is an SFP+ uplink used for?

What is a multi-gig switch for?

A multi-gig switch runs its access ports faster than 1G over copper, for demanding devices such as Wi-Fi 6/7 access points. The RG-NBS3300-8MG2XS-P has 8 ports at up to 2.5G with a 240 W PoE budget, and the RG-CS86-12XMG4VS-UP has 12 ports at up to 10G with PoE++ of up to 90 W per port.
