Rocker Switch Covers

Remove the existing rocker and fit the new cover in its place. For covers such as the GDBOOSTU and the CUBOIL, take off the rocker that is there and replace it with the one carrying the finish or marking you need.

The CU covers do. Covers such as the CUHOB are laser printed white thermoset resin rockers made to coordinate with the Curved Edge Switches and Sockets range, with markings such as HOB on the CUHOB, DISHWASHER on the CUDISH and WASHING MACHINE on the CUWASH. Several, such as the CUWARM and CUFRIDGE, are for use with the Curved Grid System only.

GD finishes include antique brass, anthracite, brushed brass, brushed chrome, black nickel, matt black, matt white, polished chrome, smoked bronze and white. The HOB marking, for instance, comes as the GDHOBAB in antique brass, the GDHOBAT in anthracite, the GDHOBPC in polished chrome and the GDHOBU in white, so a marked rocker can match the plate around it.

Markings include BOILER, FAN, FAN BOOST, COFFEE MACHINE, COOKER HOOD, DISHWASHER, TUMBLE DRYER, FRIDGE, FREEZER, FRIDGE FREEZER, HOB, MICROWAVE, OVEN, WARMING DRAWER, WASHING MACHINE, WASTE DISPOSAL and WINE COOLER. Examples are the GDWASTEU marked WASTE DISPOSAL, the GDMICROU marked MICROWAVE and the GDFRIDBC marked FRIDGE/FREEZER.

It shows at a glance which switch serves which appliance, which helps when one needs isolating. The GDCOOKU is marked COOKER HOOD for identifying that appliance switch, and the GDWASHBC is pre-printed to signify the appliance it controls. In a kitchen with a row of grid switches, markings such as OVEN (GDOVENU) and HOB (GDHOBU) keep them apart.

They are ABS, ABS and steel, or thermoset resin, depending on the cover. The GDBLANKBB in brushed brass is ABS and steel, the white GDWASHU is ABS with a white UREA finish, and the CUHOB is durable thermoset resin. The CUFAN and CUFREEZER add anti-microbial properties tested to ISO 22196:2011.
