Proximity readers

The EM1030e is a slim mullion reader for doorframe mounting that reads ACTProx 125 kHz and HID-compatible tokens, with Wiegand and Clock & Data outputs, a tri-colour LED, an audible tone and a 2 m pigtail lead. The EM1030e is rated IP66 and IK08 and operates from -40 °C to +70 °C. The EM1040e is a compact multiformat reader of approximately 94 × 130 × 25 mm, rated IP65 and IK10, with selectable Wiegand or Clock & Data output, surface or flush mounting and 5–12 V DC operation.

Keypad reader and codelock

The EM1050e adds an integrated keypad and can run in prox-only, PIN-only or combined PIN and prox modes, with Clock & Data or 26-bit Wiegand output and IP55 and IK08 ratings. The V42 codelock accommodates two four-digit codes, suits indoor and outdoor mounting and runs on 12 to 24 VAC, with its settings managed directly on the unit.

Tags and accessories

The EM10T3 is a pack of 10 ACT 125kHz tags, CE and UKCA certified. The MF-VR is a stainless steel vandal-resistant cover for ACTpro 1030 readers, including the MF1030, EV11030 and EM1030, and the MF-FM is a flush mount plate for mounting the MF1030PM reader. The CARD-YO is a small yo-yo card holder whose friction clip holds an ID card securely while giving a quick release.

An outdoor proximity reader has a sealed housing whose dust and water protection is shown by an IEC 60529 IP rating, often with an EN 62262 IK impact rating. The Vanderbilt EM1030e is rated IP66 and IK08 with potted electronics, the EM1040e IP65 and IK10, and the EM1050e IP55 and IK08, and the MF-VR stainless steel cover protects ACTpro 1030 readers against vandalism.

Can I use a PIN code instead of a card?

Yes, a keypad reader or codelock lets users enter a PIN instead of presenting a card, and some readers accept a card and PIN together. The Vanderbilt EM1050e has an integrated keypad and runs in prox-only, PIN-only or combined PIN plus prox modes, and the V42 codelock takes two four-digit codes and runs on 12 to 24 VAC.

The EM1030e is a slim mullion-style multiformat proximity reader for doorframe mounting, surface or flush, with a robust polycarbonate housing and potted electronics, a tri-colour LED and an audible tone. It suits doorway frames, gates, turnstiles and internal or external entries.
