About this product

Please note: this is a non-returnable item (excluding faulty goods)

Scope FLINK4 is a monitored telemetry transceiver from the F-Link range.

Scope F-Link (Fire panel link) mesh network system has become the de facto and secure way of wirelessly linking for alerting and monitoring fire or security systems located in adjacent buildings, the range can cover up to a mile, depending on the environment and aerials. Practical, fast, and flexible installation. F-Link is housed in a large case with plenty of cable entry points and an informative text display that provides status information and gives details of all alarm messages.

Plug & play installation includes a “press to join network” feature and auto-reconfiguration if a unit needs to be replaced or moved. A system consists of two or more F-Link units working together to form a mesh network with each unit operating as both a transmitter and receiver. The radio link between units is monitored for faults in accordance with the relevant sections of BS5839-1:2017 (24.2b) and BSEN54-25:2008 (4.2.6).

There is an additional RS232 serial output on the Master unit for connection to either or both the FLINK XP relay expansion unit for individual relay output per F-Link for fire and fault and an optional FLINK paging transmitter, which sends alarm and fault messages to pocket pagers. The front panel display indicates active zones, unit status, network/radio status and the received signal strength of incoming transmissions. A button is provided to mute the internal fault sounder, a key switch allows the unit to be reset or placed into test mode.

The Identity and radio operating frequency of each unit is set using dip switches, allowing for rapid and fuss-free installation. Where required, additional features can be programmed using Windows-based configuration software (available from Scope). Software-configurable options include Text descriptors for each Node and each zone event; zone input type; and output relay operating mode.

Programmed settings are transmitted by the Master unit to all installed Nodes. An optional F-Link paging transmitter can be added to the system to send alarm and fault event descriptions to portable radio pagers. An optional interface can also be specified to provide a serial data output for logging purposes.

Key features

  • Digi-Mesh network signalling technology
  • Up to 16 F-Link units can be networked in 1 network, But further networks can be achieved on differing frequencies
  • Fully supervised with high immunity
  • Self-healing for quick and easy unit replacement
  • Informative LCD text display
  • DIP switch configuration, no bespoke factory programming necessary
  • Link monitoring in accordance with the relevant sections of BS5839-1:2017 (24.2b) and BSEN54-25:2008 (4.2.6)

If you are matching this to an existing installation, work from the FLINK4 part number rather than the description.

Scope FLINK4 monitored telemetry transceiver

Who this is for

For the installer — this is the monitored telemetry transceiver supplied under Scope part number FLINK4. Specify it by that part number.

The entries in the specification table are the ones held against this part number. Anything not listed there is not stated by us, and should be confirmed against the manufacturer's own documentation.

In plain English: this is a monitored telemetry transceiver made by Scope. The part number FLINK4 is the manufacturer's own code for this exact version of it.

Similar-looking items in the same family often differ only by a suffix on that code. If you are replacing something, match the code rather than the picture.

Buying this in the UK

We are a UK supplier and this monitored telemetry transceiver is sold and shipped from the UK. Prices are shown in pounds sterling.

This item is non-returnable, excluding faulty goods. That restriction comes from the manufacturer's own terms for this line.

We do not quote a warranty term for this part. Every supplier-stated term we have checked against the manufacturer's own document has turned out to be wrong, so we would rather say nothing than say something we cannot stand behind.

Ask us and we will check it for you. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Stock on this line moves, and lead times move with it. Ask us for the current position before you commit to a date on site.

Questions we get asked

Is this the exact monitored telemetry transceiver I have been quoted? Check the manufacturer part number FLINK4 against your quote. That code is the only reliable identity for this item.

Is there a datasheet? Yes — the documentation attached to this listing was checked and names this exact part number. Documents that named only the family, or a different item, are not attached.

Can you check compatibility for us? Ask before you order and we will check it against the manufacturer's own documentation. We do not state compatibility that the record does not carry.

Why does the listing not answer every question? Because the specification held against FLINK4 answers some questions and not others. We would rather leave a gap visible than fill it with something we cannot show you.

What if I order the wrong version? Tell us the installation you are matching and we will work back to the part number with you. That is a faster conversation than a return.

Do you hold this in stock? Availability on this line changes through the week, so the honest answer is to ask us on the day. We will give you the current position rather than a general one.
