AV:Link makes the leads, adaptors, brackets and small AV hardware that connect and mount a home or commercial system. This collection holds the AV:Link range: HDMI leads such as the 112.187UK 8K lead, coaxial, audio, network and USB leads, HDMI switches, splitters and extenders, wall plate modules, TV and projector brackets, electric and manual projector screens, and headphones and earphones such as the 100.642UK Isolate SE.

Choosing AV:link Products

Start with the connection you need, then pick the lead, box or plate that makes it.

HDMI leads and long runs

For most 4K screens a lead such as the 3.0m 112.140UK, rated 18 Gbps, is enough. The Ultra High Speed 112.187UK is a 48Gb/s lead for 8K at 60Hz with a solid copper core. Active fibre optic leads such as the 150m 112.199UK carry the signal much further than a standard cable. The 128.839UK extender kit sends 4K up to 100m over one network cable.

Splitting and switching

A splitter feeds one source to several screens, and the 128.847UK splits one HDMI input to 8 displays at 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz. A matrix switches several sources to several screens: the 128.850UK routes 4 sources to 4 displays, with SPDIF and 3.5mm audio outputs and an RS232 port. Converters such as the 128.512UK turn HDMI into composite RCA for older TVs.

Wall plates

Clip-in modules such as the 122.565UK Cat6 RJ45 socket and the 122.540UK HDMI female tail measure 50mm x 25mm and fit the 122.500UK and 122.505UK frames, so one plate can mix connections. Ready-made plates such as the 122.387UK put 8K HDMI and USB4 Type-C on one gang, and brush plates such as the 123.270UK let AV cables feed through the wall.

Brackets and screens

TV brackets include fixed low-profile models, full motion arms and ceiling mounts. The 129.154UK fixed ultra slim bracket takes 32" to 80" screens up to 40kg, 22mm from the wall. The 129.569UK full motion bracket takes 47" to 90" screens up to 70kg and swivels 45° each way. Projector screens include electric models such as the 952.324UK with an in-line switch and RF remote, and manual screens such as the 952.330UK with an auto lock.

Frequently asked questions

Which AV:Link lead suits a long HDMI run?

Use an active fibre optic HDMI lead or an HDMI extender once a copper lead is too short. Standard 4K leads such as the 112.149UK reach 20m. Active fibre optic leads such as the 112.196UK (50m) and 112.199UK (150m) carry 4K at 60Hz with 18Gb/s bandwidth. The 128.839UK extender kit sends 4K up to 100m over a single shielded Cat5e or Cat6 cable.

What is the difference between an HDMI splitter and a matrix?

A splitter copies one source to several screens, while a matrix lets several sources reach several screens independently. The 128.846UK and 128.847UK splitters feed one HDMI input to 4 and 8 displays. The 128.849UK matrix switcher has 4 inputs and 2 outputs, and the 128.850UK has 4 inputs and 4 outputs with an IR remote, an EDID switch and an RS232 port.

When do I need an 8K HDMI lead?

You need one when the source and screen run 8K. Standard 4K leads such as the 112.140UK are rated 18 Gbps, while AV:Link Ultra High Speed leads are 48Gb/s: the 112.183UK carries a maximum of 7680 x 4320p at 120Hz and the 112.187UK a maximum of 7680 x 4320 at 60Hz. The 112.183UK and 112.187UK both have a solid copper core and 24K gold plated connectors.

How do AV:Link wall plate modules work?

A module clips into a frame, so you build one plate from the connections you need. The 122.565UK Cat6 RJ45 module and the 122.540UK HDMI module are 50mm x 25mm and fit the 122.500UK and 122.505UK frames. The 122.565UK has 180 degree punch down IDC terminals at the rear, and the 122.540UK has a 15mm female tail.

How do I choose an AV:Link TV bracket?

Match the bracket to your screen size, its weight and the VESA pattern on the back of the TV, then decide how much movement you want. The 129.541UK fixed bracket suits 26-65" screens up to 30kg with VESA 400x400. The 129.569UK full motion bracket takes 47" to 90" screens up to 70kg with VESA patterns up to 800 x 600.

Should I choose an electric or a manual projector screen?

Choose electric for a screen raised and lowered often, and manual to keep it simple. The 952.324UK electric screen runs from an in-line switch or RF remote and has an adjustable drop limiter. The 952.330UK manual screen pulls down, sets with an auto lock and springs back into its case. The 952.324UK and 952.330UK both have a white steel case with brackets for a ceiling or wall.
