Ajax 64923.197.WH1 TurretCam Wired AI-powered IP Security Camera, 5MP, 2.8mm

What it does

The TurretCam (5 Mp/2.8 mm) records video at up to 5 MP (2880 × 1620) through a 2.8 mm lens with a horizontal field of view of 100–110°. It detects motion using software image frame analysis, and AI object detection picks out people, pets and vehicles.

Its IR LEDs reach up to 50 m, and intelligent lighting control automatically adjusts their intensity in real time to prevent overexposure. True WDR handles a 120 dB range, and the signal-to-noise ratio is more than 52 dB.

DORI distances are Detection: 65 m, Observation: 26 m, Recognition: 13 m and Identification: 6.5 m.

Where it is used

The camera is made for outdoor and indoor use, with an IP66, IK08 protection class, an operating temperature range from −30 °C to +60 °C and operating humidity up to 90%.

Installation notes

Power comes over PoE (802.3at/af, 36–57 V, Class 3) or from a 12 V, 1 A power supply unit, with average power consumption of 8.5 W. The network connection is 1 × RJ-45 self-adaptive Ethernet (10/100 Mbps).

The camera is conformant with ONVIF® Profile G and S. The housing measures 103 × 98 × 98 mm and weighs 475 g, and the complete set includes an installation template, installation kit and quick start guide.

Recordings go to a microSD card up to 256 GB (Class V30 or faster; the card is not included in the complete set) or to an Ajax NVR.

Day to day

Ajax detectors can trigger selected cameras to start recording, and the recorded event is sent straight to the mobile or desktop monitoring app. Video travels over JetSparrow, a fast and encrypted peer-to-peer video protocol developed by Ajax Systems.

Sabotage protection includes an mTLS encrypted connection for data protection, Secure Boot protection against firmware spoofing and OTA signature verification for secure automatic firmware updates.

All access rights are fully configurable by the device owner. With the corresponding settings, the built-in microphone can record audio at the scene.
